Well, he wasn't lying, was he? Naveen DID get very... green, after all. Free to hop around, indeed!

  • You do have a soul, Don't you Lawrence?

  • quietly and quickly:" You do have a soul don't you"

  • Goliath!

  • great "friends"..... kill you in the end ;)

  • I know it's pretty baby, but I didn't take it out for air.

  • @glitzmomof2 who's louis?

  • Thos powers he got is kinda cool, I'd love to have thos powers *Rubs hands with a evil laugh.*

  • @ShoniXylogear * laughs like an igor* ;)

  • tiana naveen ray and louis(gator) made accounts to dislike this song...like i can disagree(jk;})

  • @princessaqua246 Ahh - I see what you did there ;D

  • epic song

    gr8 character

  • Evil Disney villain songs are always the best in the movie.

  • The people who dislike this song must not know that this movie is a classic :)

  • I like some of the instrumentals unique to the soundtrack version, like the alienish noises over the "things I haven't even tried" bit.

  • I completely geek out whenevr I hear this song!! The animation was so... PERFECT!! And his voice!!! Princess and the Frog is so AWESOME!!

  • LOL When I look into your future it's the GREEN I see" Nice wording.

  • @BrokenHeartedAngel11 Plus, the money on the card was in the shape of a Lillypad :3

  • He has a fantastic voice. The guy who does the dub for the French version has an amazing voice too. I recommend going and watching that version as well. :D

  • never trust a witch doctor!!! i never encountered one but i know you should never trust one. i can't help but sing this song.

  • "Won't you shake a poor sinner's hand?"

I always get chills at that part! This whole song is sooooo AMAZING! :)

  • DId anyone else think that Dr. Facilier looks a lot like the Voodoo Man from Live and Let Die? Especially with the skull face paint and the future telling cards XD

    <3 this movie!

  • thumbs up if you want dr facilier to turn justin bieber into a frog

  • Fuck yesss Keith david!

  • bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum

    LOVE that part

  • when he says that when he sees the futer he says its greener he sees so he didnt lie to him he just twisted it

  • @megazordman1 yeah, and if you look at the part where dr. facilier is showing prince naveen the card with him on it, you'll see that he's standing on a lillypad.

  • @megazordman1 that's the rules. Witch doctors aren't allowed to lie about the future if they know it. They can twist the words to make it sound appealing though. example: "You will be married and divorced 12 times in your life." can be turned into "You will bed with at least 12 women in your life."

  • BEST villian !

  • Doctor Faciliers the best

  • badass

  • Omg.. Disney.. :'( <3

  • I like how his name is Dr. Facilier, and in French the word for easy is facile. So it's kinda like his name is "To Make Easy". :)

  • its creepy but catchy

  • love the song!

  • hes scary coz hes black just jk hes scary becuase hes cool and pluss this song is beast

  • My third favourite disney villain song next to "Be Prepared" and "Poor Unfortunate Souls"

  • @LN90308558 Do you like 'Hellfire' from Hunchback? That's a really good villian song.

  • "You got what you wanted, but you lost what you had!" That line is my favorite line from any movie EVER.

  • This dude is epic!

  • Gotta admit, The Shadowman had a horrible fate, worse than death. Presumably eternal torment by voodoo spirits.

  • 4 people don't have friends on the other side

  • @kk3o9x ...ok ok, we get it =/

  • He looks like Papa Ge from Once On This Island!

  • Keith David was a revelation. He was fantastic in this film.

  • BUM BUM BUM BUM BUM BUM BUM BUM BUM BUM BUM BUM ....

  • Keith David is epic

  • Won't you shake a poor sinners' hand??

  • This was honestly one of the best animated movies Disney Pictures has done after Disney's death. It was creepy, catchy, kinda-relatable. I love this movie.

  • Thumbs up if you want Doctor Facilier to turn Sora into a frog

  • @Gorgotuaand should stay a frog..... oooh this should be in the next game!

  • @Gorgotua For a short period of time, at least. Sora needs to be a human for the boss fight...the epic, EPIC boss fight. You know, something between Demyx (minus the stupidity) and Shadow Sora. Kingdom Hearts has some of the greatest boss fights EVER.

  • @Gorgotua No, just no.

  • @Gorgotua Hey! I don't want to be turned into a frog! lolz It was my name first! :P

  • Villains FTW :)

  • i LOVE him. my favorite disney villain since jafar. =D

  • god this soundtrack is amazing... i love all the jazz in it.

  • Disney is on track again :D

the best song in the movie :D

  • I LOVE THIS VILLAINS VOICE!

  • @funnyAnabell45 Oh yeah!

  • OH CRAP Captain Anderson is a Voodoo Magician...

Well, here's to seeing him in Kingdom Hearts III as a boss.

  • 282 ARE YA READY? 4 people aren't

  • i luv this..a hit!!

  • the shadow man looks alot like baron samedi from live and let die, especially with his bone mask. is that on purpose?

  • @Flashjackmak I read somewhere that the shadow man resembles on the voodoo god of death, baron samedi. It wouldn't surprise me either that baron samedi from live and let die is also based on the voodoo god. Doesn't live and let die talk about voodoo too?

  • @janeyrevanescence12 all the time :)

  • Best song

  • i love this movie♥

great music... great story... it's amazing(:

  • Keith David: The Arbiter, Captain Anderson, and Dr. Facilier, anything this guy doesn't do?

  • i wanted 2 see this movie and i still do

  • Hes got friends on the other side! :O YIKES! hahahaha

    I love Disney Villans

  • "wont you sake a poor sinners hand"

such an amazing song, and from about 2:36, things get really good, the beat and the singing, this is a great song from a great movie

  • Thank you for putting this up!! This song is my new favorite Disney Villain and Disney Villain Song!!!

  • Did anyone else find themselves tapping their feet? Even though he's totally evil I was like "Man, he's jazzy!" Great bad guy

  • @teenage316 hahah lolz yea i know!!! like they make the guys soo tall and buff and skinny, and then they make the girl vilians soo sexyish and pretty haha like in 100 dalmatians, the evil one hah idk how to spell her name.

    lots of love hehee! <333

  • you know what i always noticed?? The vilians, are like are handsomeishh kind of and the evil girls look pretty too hahah lolz idkk!!!

  • @SmoothCriminal998 I've noticed that. Not only in Disney but everywhere almost. Even in books, they have a sense of charm and attractiveness. If anybody here has read Pendragon and know Saint Dane, I'm talking about him lol

  • The man who created Dr. Facilier said that he imagined that Cruella and captain Hook got together and had Facilier.... O.O I think that sounds scary... But Facilier is so cool and evil in a sophisticated way..... a charming villain and his shadow

  • The deep voices singing the lines "He's got friends on the other side" always reminds me of "Grim Grinning Ghosts" XD Although very great movie, and I'm not just saying that because I'm from Louisiana. ;-)

  • were do i download this for an acer computer

  • That sequence freaked me but I loved it. The Dancing was cool

  • This song is so epic it's crazy :D

  • Dr. Facilier was a very interesting villain. The character really established the concept of how a life of evil ultimately leads to destruction. As much as he brags about his powers, he's clearly terrified of the very forces that give him his powers. And the way he's constantly trying to appease his demons, you truly get the sense that he's going to die horribly at some point and he's just prolonging the inevitable. The depth of this character fascinated me.

  • @AMVpurgatory Dude that was amazing analysis. People do not understand that Disney has some depth into their stories. Countless times have I used Disney films in my essays for my english classes because of plot and/or the complex characters as you have clearly explained. I love Disney movies because they are pure entertainment, yet carry significance that go beyond happy endings.

  • @AMVpurgatory Even more of an achievement when you take into the account how little screentime Facilier had in comparison to say, Jafar and Ursula. One line sums up his motivations, 'Aren't you tired of living in the margins, whilst all those fat cats in their fancy cars don't give you so much as a sideways glance?' The bitterness in Facilier's voice really shows his jealously of the rich folk of New Orleans and his greed is probably what got him into dealings with the Loa in the first place.

  • The trippiest scene of any disney movie <3

  • 3:20

You got what you wanted.... But you lost what you need! >;D

  • i love this villan

  • I LOVE the DR. FACILIER AKA THE SHADOW MAN. I can't wait to marry him. Even though he's not real. I love him.

  • I love the Shadowman! His voice is freaking amazing!

  • God damn Keith! That voice is fucking amazing! I can listen to him speak all day

  • I loved this part ^.^ it was so cool when his face turned into the skull.... this is my disney movie next to the Lion King :)

  • I love this song, i say my fave 2 villains are the queen out of sleeping beauty coz when she had that crow and when turned into that dragon i was terrified lolz, and my other fave villain is the Shadow man coz i think hes sorta cool lolz :)

  • "That was an echo, gentlemen."

    Lulz, that line's funny. xD

  • Keith's voice is kickass, and I love this villian.

  • I love his dance moves. "hes got friends on the other side" "are you ready" and also "you got watch you wanted" always makes me sing XD but this part always just makes my jaw drop every time I see it. (the transformation part) Even though I'm 19 but It always give me goosebumps XD.

  • @Aki65 "are you ready?" makes me wanna singa nd dance along as well :D

    "transformation central" ^_^

  • The shadowman is very charismatic ^^

  • Best villain scene and song since The Lion King and Be Prepared! Very creepy and great visuals, and I love this song!

  • this villain is lot creepier than other villain in disney! he's using a bit mystical thing, and that's make him more creepy!

  • This is probably the best song in the entire movie. And I think Dr. Facilier's a much more interesting character than Tiana (and this comes from a Disney Princess fan girl)

  • Yeah, awesome song. Somehow it feels like there's something missing at the climax without the sounds of explosions though haha

  • in the song it hints at him turning into a frog. lols nice play on lyrics disney

  • I like him I think there should be a sequal and at the end of credits they show Tiana's Place closing and a Shadow cackling

  • OMG i fuckin love this song i fall for the evil men XD

  • I like how they used lots of vibrant color in this scene. For some reason, it makes it creepier.

  • i like how his face looks when the smokes cover it mad werid looking colors but that look so dam awsome!

  • why isn't the reprise of this song on the soundtrack I'd like to know

  • this is the olny song that stands out in the movie

  • I never that Keith David could sing. Oh well, Disney's surprised me before. O.o

  • I learnt this song in two days it's easy to remember adn Faci is such a an amazing villain and Keith David was great playing him.

  • I loved this movie! <3

After the song was over in the movie i was like

    HOLY SHIT! BEST SONG EVER~

  • i loved the colors on this part of the movie especially the paint/mask on the shadow man!

  • if i was a little kid I wouldve had nightmares about this part! haha but as a 14 year old I loved it! It was soo good!

  • i got chills when i watched this part of the movie. it's scarier than Anastasia's "In the dark of the night" song

  • omg! that's captain hook ;DDD

  • THIS IS MY FAVORITE VILLIN SONG!

  • the shadow man was true jazz, his voice is amazing

  • Oogie Boogie, Jafar, Cruella De'vil, and Captain Hook had a child. The result? The Shadow Man.

How they accomplished that, I'm not quite sure...? O.o'

  • @MidnaLoveLinkforever Hahahah you're so right! They created one hell of a villain, you gotta admit. :)

  • @MidnaLoveLinkforever Duh, by Voodoo :D

  • @MidnaLoveLinkforever LOLOLOLOL :D

  • @MidnaLoveLinkforever Nah. He is OBVIOUSLY the ill-legitamate son of Rasputen and the Wicked Queen from Snow White.

  • @MidnaLoveLinkforever They got friends on the other side~

  • @MidnaLoveLinkforever and ursula, ratigan, the horned king and sykes was involved too

  • @kenjipancakes Eh, maybe not Sykes...but Frollo may've been involved. O.o

  • @YawpingStance y not? they both have intimidating charisma and out cast in thier major city homes

  • @MidnaLoveLinkforever Fourway? XD

  • @MidnaLoveLinkforever

Cruella is open minded and flexible.

    *horrible mental image ensues*

  • @MidnaLoveLinkforever omg ur sooo rite lol

  • @MidnaLoveLinkforever According to Animator Bruce W. Smith, he described Dr Facilier as "the love child of Peter Pan (1953)'s Captain Hook and One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961)'s Cruella DeVil."

    IMDB

  • @MidnaLoveLinkforever actually i think it was just Oogie and Hook. he definitely adopted Oogie's voice and gambling habits.

  • @MidnaLoveLinkforever i am not sure we wanna know but pure evil he is i aslo think there Ursula and Maleficent in there too.

  • @DarkMasterRaven02 too true. now that u mention it, i think i'm switching from hook to ursula. thus making the shadow man part gambler, part deal maker/ magician.

  • I like this song. We're doing the Princess and the Frog for the dance recital

  • I really gotta see this again >_>

  • is it wrong to find the shadow man just a lil bit attractive?

  • @PrudencetheFair

you ain't alone on that one. He's mighty fine

  • Nah

  • Um, he's a cartoon so...O.o....

  • No, no. :D I like him, too. He reminds me of Vaati, Oogie Boogie, and Jafar wrapped in one. :3 Vaati...

  • vaati, that guy from minish cap? how does he remind u of faciler?

  • Heck no. His voice is smexy.

  • not at all my cousin has a crush on him. do not be ashamed LOL

  • i've got friends on the otherside !!

    hahahahaha!

    ^^

  • this reminds me of oogie boogies song from the nightmare before chrismas for some reason :')

  • As a pretty hardcore Disney fan, I always like to think of Friends on the Other Side as a combination of Poor Unfortunate Souls from The Little Mermaid and The Oogie Boogie Song from The Nightmare Before Christmas. The animator who drew Dr Facilier described him as 'the love child of Captain Hook and Cruella De Ville'. Personally, I think he's similar to Jafar in some ways as well.

  • @Kaagh178 come to think of it the prince valeen(if i spell that right) look like the prince from little mermaid and dr. facilier does look like jafar.

"your changing your changing your changing alright i hope your satisfied..but if you wait don't blame me, you can blame my friends on the other side" and "you gor what you wanted but you lost what you had"----> evil line and yet soo good

  • Prince Naveen actually, but yeah you're right. He does look like Prince Eric. His jaw reminds me of Tarzan though for some reason.

  • DITTO! :'D I think that's why I love this song a lot, too. Shadow Man SERIOUSLY reminds me of Oogie.

  • i luv the shadowmans shadow. he's awesome!

  • This movie is great! The music is cool!

  • Love the ending line : "You got what you want but you lost what you had."

  • best part :)

  • @kittenlove34 isn't it : you got what you wanted..what you want's what you get

  • no kittenlove34 has it right

  • I think it's "You got what you wanted? But you got what you get."

  • @myGodsgirl15 No it's, "You got what you wanted, but you lost what you had."

  • i loved this movie. i'm glad disney still has some of it's old talents with them and it's not all crap like hannah montana or wizards of waverly place.
