At first, did not like this, and was more apt to like Zeppelin and the Stones, but I didn't like Pink Floyd's Money either, but I got to love the classics that stand up over time, This song I heard all the time in the 1970s and I don't think I knew it was Wings, I was too young then
Every now and then you hear people say, "The Beatles were over-rated." In response to that alarmingly inaccurate statement, I point out that even if Paul hadn't been in the Beatles, he had enough hits with WINGS to rate as a major rock-pop star. Plus...in my opinion...Paul has THE BEST VOICE in popular music. He can handle everything from tender ballads to throat-ripping rockers. He's one Hell of a talent =)
I love John too...BUT BY THE GRACE OF GOD PAUL IS STILL HERE. John is gone...George is gone. " Imagine" IF we could have had Mozart or Ludwig Von...on video for perpetuity. It is a blessing...
I am not trying to make other artist look bad,or want to talk bad about them but Paul Macca is the only artist In the world that doesnt milk out thier hits, paul has had so many hits that he cant play all of them in the concerts.I never see paul singing this,or no more lonley nights, pipes of peace, silly love songs, another day, listen to what the man said, goodnight tonight, uncle albert,hi hi hi, mull of kyntire etc. No offense but not even john did this, Paul rocked like a maniac after the split!
@Mrmofongo624 But how shit is all that sewage what you have just mentioned??? I mean really? Would anyone have bought those records if he hadnt been in The Beatles? No they fuckin wouldnt because all the songs you have mentioned are like fuckin nursurey rymes. Joey fuckin Deacon could write better lyrics ( no disrespect to Joey there by the way). People just thihk he MUST be good because he was in The Beatles. Nonsense.
@ST0MP0 u are fucking stupid, this song became a number 1 hit across the u.s. and many other countries because people liked it,not because he was a beatle member.U mean to tell me that pauls songs reached the top of the charts because the whole world new that that was paul singing on the radio and decided to listen to him.Fuck No!Most people dont even know who they are hearing on the radio and most people dont know pauls voice.Paul even started a new band with another name so he could start over
Pretty cool...If after all the Beatles have done..he can do it with his wife by his side..turns a little luck gave them a little time together..God Bless her soul for all the songs he sang for her!!!!!!!!
@njriley55 oh yeah now im sad agian BUT AT LEAST HES MOVED ON FRM HER AND THAT MEAN WIFE THAT DIVORCED HIM AND FOUND SOMEONE THAT MAKES HIM HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Paul must have been taking the piss...and Linda with her "white girl twist". But, regardless of all that, even though I think it's a great tune, he was capable of so much more.
george had Moore rhythm in his Johnny Cash finger than you got in your, one pecking, cant seem to grasp a whole note to a beat, critical one half stepping geek, who cant seem to stand on his on two feet, without stepping on someones grave trying to look sleek.....
London Town is lackluster McCartney, but still great. Cafe on the Left Bank, More Moose, Grey Goose, what goofball songs, but still...STILL work. This era was just the three, Paul, Denny, and Linda. They rented three yachts and recorded this album in the Carribean.
It's reported that Sting is with an estimated $365 million, while during Paul's divorce, though said to be worth near $800 million, a judge proclaimed he couldn't see where Paul was worth more than $170 million. I find it hard to believe unless:
1. That judge was a real Beatles fan.
2. Paul made some very bad investments over the last 50yrs.
I mean, yea, Sting/The Police, great & popular/rich band & all, but 2X+ the $ of Paul?
Another one of those tunes that some rock purists hate but I always enjoyed, especially when I was first learning to play music. Also one that like "Silly Love Songs", Paul seemed to avoid post-Wings.
@S0lidState I'd be happy to. See certain songs were playing during the various trips to Disney World I have taken throughout my life. This was one of them.
@MANUEL100O En que te basas para decir que es "meloso"?? no creo que en todo el siglo XX hayan existido compositores de música popular tan prolíficos y versátiles como Paul, John, y George... talvez heroes del silencio te parezca mejor que esto?? jajaja.
little known fact "With a Little Luck" (W.A.L.L.) is an acronym McCartney cleverly used to protest East Berlin's segreation and genocide. "Bring it in for a landing" was a reference to Gerald Ford flying to Berlin to discuss human right issues and the career of David Hasselhoff.
Great song, too bad they chopped it down to 3+ minutes. Anyone know who the kids are onstage with Wings? The girl at 20sec got more airtime than everyone except Paul and Wings.

When Denny and Linda Start the "with a little luck with a little luck with a lit-tle luck " harmony and paul kicks in that is strong strong vocalization... no matter who is singing it ... not technically the notes or tune.. but the emotion along with the technical difficulty of belting that out.... pure genius.. i hope to be able to sing like that with enough practice.... and a little luck...
if civilization continues its appreciation of the arts ( provided mind you that we dont destroy ourselves ) future generations will probably see Paul in the same way that modern day academics see Bach, or Beethoven,,.. truly the musical genious of the 20th century and we were lucky enough to witness this first hand
I have heard people kill Paul on this song and I can understand it a bit, but what ought we expect from an aging family man with a pregnant Wife? When a couple is expecting, it's time of positive thinking. You're not getting "Helter Skelter" from a 35-year old Paul with a baby on the way.
It's actually a great little pop song with a few solid hooks. Sure, it's not "Got To Get You Into My Life" but few things are. For me, this song reminds me of being ten years old and happy.
Alright... I am not so impressed with the #1 song on the week I was born...I love Paul, don't get me wrong... but this is no where near his best.

if civilization continues its appreciation of the arts ( provided mind you that we dont destroy ourselves ) future generations will probably see Paul in the same way that modern day academics see Bach, or Beethoven,,.. truly the musical genious of the 20th century and we were lucky enough to witness this first hand

My mom listened to this song today in the morning like 10 million times, when I woke up. So now,in my eyes,is my Mom's song :D
