@gilletthandyman Digital recording is easy to overdrive and get a distorted sound; compared to tape, which is more forgiving. Input levels are the most important. I use equipment that allows me to mix the sound after I have recorded the video. When you're doing "one shot- one kill", you have to test to get the levels right. Adjust the mic or level line in level on the volume control. Line in or "direct" is the cleanest way, just watch the level. Green-good. Red-bad.

I have been a George Strait fan since the time I knew what a George Strait was and I really can't stand to listen to anyone else cover his songs. You are the exception man, great phrasing. Do you sing professionally or want to? You have that great classic country type of voice.? Where are you from? Sometimes a person can only sing one song well, I think your an exception.
