Ovechkin is better on the one timer the 2nd best behind Kovalchuk it on the one timer it goes Kovalchuk OVechkin and Stamkos but Stamkos shot isn't nearly as hard as the other guys hes just accurate
Ovi is one of the few players and i mean very few who consistantly shoots over 85 MPH during a game. His wrist shot is harder than alot of guys slap shots. Hes got the quickest shot in the nhl.
@etdumas1 wrong, ovechkin couldn't enter that contest and chara rarely is in the position to take his time and skate into the shot like he did in the contest. ovechkin can unload at any point in the game. if you gave ovechkin that much time to walk up and skate into a shot he'd probably beat charas shot. he is 6'2 235 thats a lot of muscle.

Ovechkins slapshot isnt just hard and accurate but he's incredibly quick and getting if off, the goalie has no time to react.
