@PlayIt4MeAgainSam He was, When Max died Chaplin dedicated one of his films: "For the unique Max, the great master - his disciple Charles Chaplin" Truly Chaplin had a lot of respect for Max and learned a lot from him.

Marvelous tribute to Max Linder, Aaron. The music, footage, and antics of Linder are beautifully rendered. Being a lover of classical music myself, I would also like to know the name of the piece or its composer beginning at 1:03 and ending at 2:08. I ask because its strikingly charming. Or maybe you can reveal the name of the CD so I can look it up. Thanks for your uploads Aaron, I enjoy them very much.

Thanks.  I don't know what the music is called but both the footage and music are from the documentary: Paul Merton's Weird and Wonderful World of Early Cinema. This documentary is also on youtube.
