@lawrencewong100 Sorry to hear that. Was it just nerves? Try presenting it in front of a family member or a friend before the final one. That generally helps.
2:05 You mentioned "avoid being stationary." Very true, but I'd like to offer a tip-- Avoid being stationary, but also don't do the "nervous two-step". It's a move my oral communications/theater teacher taught us about. When a person is presenting in front of a group, they have this tendency to shift their weight back and forth between each leg. It's very distracting and makes the speaker appear to lack confidence. So, avoid being stationary, and let your moves be fluid and natural. Great video!
This is really what I needed, I am about to give a few presentations and have been very nervous about doing so. I must congratulate you on a fantastic job done here, I know that this will help a lot of people.
Salient advice! I really liked it, I just wish I didn't get so nervous every time I have to present a case at rounds! I'm going to try that pretending to have a conversation next week.
Excellent video. I would recommend any of the Rowan sophomores who have clinic w/ public speaking to watch this video before they reach junior/senior clinic. I also like how Tanzania is marked on the globe at 3:41.
Super tips thanks
