  • wath is better? astro city or new astro city? why!? D:

  • how much was this ?

  • @lukemorse1

Those yellowing doors are down to them using a fire retardant chemical that degrades and yellows as it does,.

  • Nice video and story, what's with the gloves though? There's a few paints that do discolour easily like you have on the door panels.

  • Those cab are so cheap here in Japan.

Greatest cab ever but NEVER, NEVER buy a cab with a burned screen.

  • Picking one of these up in a couple weeks, should look great next to the Egret ^_^

  • damn man you are seriously hard core. it looks like you have more room taken up by arcade machines than actual living space. Usually I'd assume that's one room of a bigger place, but with a lot of the apartments i've been in in Japan I'm not sure that's a safe assumption haha. anyway nice collection!

  • i have the same problem with my doors they are very off white. needs a paint job.

  • probably due to heat source

  • lol 76 cm for a 78. XD my New astro was 75 and the door was 76 XD had to go reaallllll slow. nice cab really like the speakers and stuff. what kind of monitor is in this? same as a NAC?

  • nice gloves

  • It should have a Nanao MS-9 in there and I don't think they had a VHOLD pot. Neither of mine seem to have anyhow. So when are you getting some Cave games for it? :-D

  • great videos! more arcade....

  • Did you know where i can buy diferent game instructions cards for the astro city machine???

    Thanks !

  • Cool arcade cabinet. I did not know these existed.

  • Very cool cabinet Luke. I just parted ways with my Ibara to jump on an Astro City group order going on here in the states. Hopefully soon I'll have my grubby mitts on one of these ace machines myself. Great video.

  • This Cabinet right here is the icing on the cake for ya games room, wicked machine :). How is the mrs-is she screwing about a 3rd machine LOL?

  • Lol, thanks. Yeah, she was ok with it. Kinda flipped out when it wouldn't fit in the house. XD

  • Dude, your collection is just kick ass!!

I can't wait till I make my trip to japan and come live in that room!! :D

  • Hey man I've been wondering when it comes to painting your units what paint do you use, Im guessing a spray kind but anything specific?

  • Nothing to special. Just sand them down (for the ones or places that need it) and use some primer then use a few coats of some enamel paint. It's not as strong as the factory paint is because it doesnt' include the glue to make it really super hard but it repairs all te blemishes on them : D

  • @MartyPotatoes Auto grade paint, sand it down with a 600 grade sander then use a 1200,then apply white auto paint, then apply any color as long as it is auto it will last forever

  • nothing wrong with being a hardcore gamer, you like your arcade machines,im sure the guys bringing these in are loving the doctors visits due to back issues of lifting :)

  • Remember......arcades are more important then furniture. After all furniture just stays there. Arcades give you entertainment.......so the hell with everything else!

  • That is some seriously good advice to live by. I'll take my coffee table out next week. I'll replace it with one of those classic Pac Man table arcades we used to play at Pizzaria's : D

  • Cool arcade machine, glad you got the brightness adjusted now its time for some fun!

  • Hell Yeah! Thanks a lot man. Yeah, the contrast isn't perfect and I really don't have a lot of games to test it out thoroughly so, I'll have to just settle with the way it is for now.

  • That's a really nice looking cab. Congratulations on getting it. It must be pretty cool to have your own games arcade, that would be a dream come true for a lot of gamers. I'm hoping to get an Astro City myself in the next 4-5 months.

  • Thanks, It's a cool machine and seems pretty easy to work on. The one thing I advise is to check the space around your door and stairs if you have them and measure it first. If you don't, be prepared to be supprised with this one and it's somewhat odd shape

  • Thanks for the advice. Yes you're right I'd better check all the measurements before I get it.

  • Everytime I see one of these, I get more and more scared of the day when I go ahead and by myself an arcadecabinett. If its busted, there's no way that I'll be able to do antyhing! XD Like always, great vid, always impressed of your technical knowledge!

  • I'm sub conciously trying to tell you "Get an arcade machine". I just didn't want to come out and say it directly : D Thanks for the compliments and "Buy an Arcade Machine"

  • get astro boy to jack up that puppy, he does short jobs!

  • LMAO, WTF? LOL, thanks man

  • my brother gets crazy sometimes :) LOL

  • I had some problems too when my neo29 arrived,it was hard to get that beast inside my room lol

Anyways, sanwa sells astro city control panels with 6 buttons i think,if you want to change the control panel for a new one,its around 20000 yen though lol

  • I know, I've see those six button ones and they are more than I've paid for any one of my machines X{

  • Hey man what games does it have on it? Looks like a very nice machine. Congrats!!! Now you have to deal with the 4th..LOL

  • LOl, The one that was on it was Winter Heat but I've got one more for it now. The 4th one is a NO GO. I can't fit it inside and the wife is seriously furious that I almost had to rip the window out in order to get this one in here lol, my bad

  • LMAO that so funny, but yet not funny. Im sorry bro. Can you change the games out? Like if you didn't care for Winter Heat and wanted a different game. Could you install a new game. I know nothing about arcade machines...can ya tell. Im a console guy.

  • Yeah, you can change the games out which is what I'm going to do here cause finding games for this board isn't going to be easy by the looks of it. Don't worry about not knowing about the arcades, it's really a self taught thing for the most part but when things get rough, then you ask for help. I've done it plenty of times with the last two machines I've bought lol

  • Thanks for the insight. Can't wait to see more of your vids. You should do some turbografx 16 reviews. Not sure if you have that system? Im sure you probably do ..lol

  • Lol, pulling half your house apart to get your machines inside.

    Now that's dedication!!! :D

The yellowing is due to the paint they used which oxidises over time, there's nothing anyone can do about it unless they sprayed them with sealant as soon as they received them.

  • Yeah, what can I say, I wanted to get it inside by any means....especially before the locals came around and tried to rob me : )

  • So far it looks good

  • Thanks man
