@MrHeavySilence5 It's true, this E3 demo definitely had a lot more 'wow' factor than the U3 one. But I loved the scene in the U3 demo when the boat flipped and Drake goes flying... it's probably just one of many set pieces they'll have in the game. U2 had several others as well as the one shown in this demo, so I expect U3 will be the same. Perhaps the biggest most explosive one would have given away spoilers to the plot and that's why they didn't show it? Either way, I can't wait to play it!

@bud389 Warhawk didn't fail, hence the sequel for it being released next year, and there are STILL people playing Warhawk today. God of War 3 is no doubt a staple franchise in the industry, before that and Resident Evil 4, there weren't that many quick time events in the industry. Not to mention how there have been countless ripoffs of it. 360 exclusive only sell better in some cases(Alan Wake bombed). Not to mention there's only like 3-4 exclusives to choose from on 360 and like a BUNCH on PS3.

I could give a laundry list of things that are wrong with God of War 3, the immature/laughable dialogue, the overplayed storyline and plot arch (there is no reason for a third, the second games ending was a cop out, to give the devs a reason to make a fucking pointless third game), the tiresome finishers which get old after about the 500th time you see them (is it really that much to ask for some variety?)-
Don't forget the low replay value of God of War 3. I bought GoW3 a mere six days after its release. The presentation was good, the death scenes were original, and overall it was fairly fun. However, after attempting to get the platinum trophy after playing the game 2-3 times, I simply got tired of it! SURE the game was great, but the replay value is just terrible.
So much for wasting $60 on a lowreplay value game.

@ssb4smasher I also dislike the AI, the poor dialogue, the completely lame jokes scattered throughout, Drakes cynical character representation, the puzzles are LAUGHABLY childish (open his book and it basicaly tells you how to solve it), and just about everything else in it. The only thing good about it is it's scenery, but even Just Cause 2 does that better and lets you do even more, as in EXPLORE all of it instead of just look at it.

@MrHeavySilence5 It's true, this E3 demo definitely had a lot more 'wow' factor than the U3 one. But I loved the scene in the U3 demo when the boat flipped and Drake goes flying... it's probably just one of many set pieces they'll have in the game. U2 had several others as well as the one shown in this demo, so I expect U3 will be the same. Perhaps the biggest most explosive one would have given away spoilers to the plot and that's why they didn't show it? Either way, I can't wait to play it!

@bud389 Warhawk didn't fail, hence the sequel for it being released next year, and there are STILL people playing Warhawk today. God of War 3 is no doubt a staple franchise in the industry, before that and Resident Evil 4, there weren't that many quick time events in the industry. Not to mention how there have been countless ripoffs of it. 360 exclusive only sell better in some cases(Alan Wake bombed). Not to mention there's only like 3-4 exclusives to choose from on 360 and like a BUNCH on PS3.

Don't forget the low replay value of God of War 3. I bought GoW3 a mere six days after its release. The presentation was good, the death scenes were original, and overall it was fairly fun. However, after attempting to get the platinum trophy after playing the game 2-3 times, I simply got tired of it! SURE the game was great, but the replay value is just terrible.
So much for wasting $60 on a lowreplay value game.

It took most awards from the E3 09, the AIAS and pretty much every other gaming media outlet out there. It has also been called one of the greatest games of all time and has already sold around 4 million units in a fraction of the time it has been out compared to Half Life since you brought it up. Not sure why we are even bringing up other games in the first place.

@ssb4smasher I also dislike the AI, the poor dialogue, the completely lame jokes scattered throughout, Drakes cynical character representation, the puzzles are LAUGHABLY childish (open his book and it basicaly tells you how to solve it), and just about everything else in it. The only thing good about it is it's scenery, but even Just Cause 2 does that better and lets you do even more, as in EXPLORE all of it instead of just look at it.
