  • omg, I used to love this parade so much!!

  • it brings a tear to my eyes.....

  • My Momma saw fit to raise me with Disney. This music brings me back to those magical childhood years. I love this video and this parade!!

  • why does disney world have to take everything!!!! it belonged to walt disney first!! >:O

  • this bring back memories :) too bad i never got the see the parade with the new music and returning floats

  • Dude, I"m crying, this parade makes me SO HAPPY

  • Where can I find the version of the music right at the beginning of the video?

    (0:00- 0:08)

  • There's something about this parade...I can't quite understand it. Everytime I hear this music, see the floats, anything about it....I just start to tear up. It's incredible and I just don't know why. I'm so confused.

  • hmmm, for this one, the older soundtrack is more fitting. this version of the music originates from the ELP: Dreamlights in Tokyo Disneyland, the one with more modern, updated floats and some recent, crap Pixar characters.

  • thumbs up if you want to drive that train with goofy!!!

  • This is literally the BEST parade known to man kind.

  • @TheaterAdventures pretty close its up there with endymion parade from new orleans, buy since i jus saw this last month ill agree

  • Disney Land is small enough to fit in Magical Kingdom's parking lot in Disney World XD ^_^ Lls

  • @Dave3oh The Magic Kingdom's parking lot is definitely not 85-90 acres. The Magic Kingdom itself is about 100 acres. So the size of the parking lot is no where near the size of Disneyland.

  • @FantasmicMouse chill your tits it was a joke, geez -_-

  • @FantasmicMouse btw Epcot by itself is approximately 300 acres so... disneyland is pretty small. Although, some ppl would say it's as big as your imagination.

  • @Dave3oh Yeah, not gonna argue with epcot. It's a fact.

  • I looove Disney!! :)

  • Que paso w/the Blue Fairy from Pinnochio??

  • Great video quality. I hope that you'll put all three parts together in one continuous video at some time, in order to get the *full* experience of being there!

  • Great job! It brings back many happy memories. I've been to Disneyland over one hundred times, and can still go back! I'm glad that the Electrical parade is still alive and well at California Adventure.

  • im 20 and wish i cud just dance and bob to this song while im in the crowd without getting stares form older parents. fuck them, its disney *shakes head to the beat*

  • oh the memories. ;) to bad they moved it to disney world :(

  • Man, I used to get SO happy when the lights would dim and the song would finally come on. "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls..." I can still remember the uncontrollable smile on my 5 year old face, my mom, in her daisy dukes with her stylin' fro, grabbing me and pointing at all the lit up characters coming our way, clapping along to the music.

  • I like the roller coaster car in the back at 0:30

  • Thank you so much for posting this parade. It gets me choked up as it reminds me of my fabulous childhood of going every year with my parents. I LIVED for Snow White and Pete's Dragon! :)

  • where did you get the dance organ audio clip from the begining? just out of curiosity

  • First, Love the video, rem seein this when I was a kid at Disney world, BUT I hate that shameless promo for Silvania in there, corp world has struck again, owning everything, I know Disney does it also,

  • I really want to go to one of these parades. They look fun

  • Also, in Tokyo, Mickey and Minnie speak during the parade. It's recorded, but the silence here makes their passing somewhat uneventful. I don't mean to be a hater, but just check out Tokyo Disneyland's Electrical Parade Dreamlights on YouTube and you'll see what I mean!

  • @nyscholartist no don't be. I'm from America and I have to say that Tokyo Disneyland is very underrated. Their space montain, splash mountain, indiana jones, big thunder mountain, tower of terror and it's a small world are alot better than Disneyland's and Dinsey World's. Not to mention their decorations at halloween & christmas are amazingly better, as a matter of fact, the christmas & halloween decorations at Disneyland are hammy downs from Tokyo Disneyland about 6 or 7 years ago.

  • @nyscholartist OH and i forgot pooh's hunny hunt XD the most amazing ride there.

  • I'm sorry, but as an American who grew up in Japan, this simply doesn't compare to the magic of Tokyo Disneyland's Electrical Parade Dreamlights. Same music, but the Blue Fairy and everything makes it classic. This is close, but not quite the same. Just saying.

  • Looks like the snails spent too long in the Disneyland bar :)

  • Is Blue Fairy Not coming back????

  • what camera did you use? :O

  • The best float for me is the Train :) xx

  • Oh my gosh i remember seeing this as a kid!!!

  • i like the old music better

  • i'm so sad they took out dumbo =(

  • Thanks so much for uploading this - we missed it last year - LOVE the new Tink float - though the Blue Fairy is the classic!!!

  • I was just there! I loved this parade! Minnie Looks soo awesome! She;'s my favorite, ever since i was litt.e <3 Love her! :) I love this, this was just so ' Nighttastic". :)

  • My favorite part of Disneyland!

  • Am I the only person who actually enjoys this incarnation of the parade?

  • @jasobres

no it´s just that some people can´t get over the past. this version is great

  • Omigosh, I love this parade! I watch and I feel like I'm 6 again! It's almost exactly the same as I remember!

  • @Adorkable9614 I totally feel the same. The place is truly magical

  • sooo sad ths is gng 2 disney world, <3 disneyworld but they dnt need more stuff :( hope it comes back 2 dland again one day

  • @PiratesLover5000 it's only going until the end of summer

  • i can't wait for this parade to come to magic kingdom

  • Me too!!...But I hope it returns with the ORIGINAL music, and not this re-recorded garbage. It's Just not the same!!

  • sorry to say guys its using the new music.

  • How do you know this? the clip they played in the announcement with meg crofton had the original music.

  • @cmontheplane I am sorry I thought you meant by what music is playing in the video. The Original Music who knows?

  • Ahhh, understandable. We'll just wait and see :)

  • Wow amazingly clear video recording. A+ video and sound!!!!!

  • Does this really end April 18th in DCA??!! It's going to WDW? I designed these costumes (except the new Tink) in 2001 when we brought it back there.

  • as a HUGE fan of the parade i must say your costume designs are STUNNING!

  • Thank you so much. It's nice to hear people enjoy them. Thanks for the great HD video. It's hard to get good clear views of the parade. take care, Lisa

  • April 18 is the last performance in DCA

  • WDW is getting this parade back for Summer 2010!!!!! I cannot wait to see it, brings back man memories

  • ok i dont give a fuck what any of you say... i wanna see this parade on shrroms or e, hell even acid! now that would be fucking amazing!

  • I´m 20!! and i swear that sometimes I really believe that Mickey is real as well as the other characters. I love this parade

  • @princesskikicastrejo same here

  • @princesskikicastrejo Thats funny lol, I always feel that I am seeing goofy live when I see him driving that train. He really is to, I saw controls in that booth.

  • @princesskikicastrejo I'm 26, due to be 27 in a couple short months and I feel the same exact way...... This parade has been my fave since I was teeny tiny and it makes me cry every time I see it!!!!

  • @princesskikicastrejo well of course mickeys real!!!

  • if I were in charge of Entertainment for Disneyland, on days during the off-season whgen DCA is open till 9 i'd show this instead of PPP i mean face it who in their right mind wants to get wet during the winter wehich is basically all that PPP is,a shower on wheels

  • i'v never seen the parade...or at least, not since the last day it was at Disneyland in 1996(I was there on the Last day, and what a spectacular show it was) but the intro voice on the new version, and the remix of the music in general, really, really suck : (

  • I was there and saw this exact parade, it's a lot better in person. the first float with the fairies was the best. and obviously it's not made for grown men to enjoy, but children. hopefully you're not so selfish that you refuse to take your kids to it just because you may not care for it yourself

  • Take the kid in you next time!

  • So what we are all going to die will we be happy then too?

  • The old version is much better. Since they moved the parade to california adventure, I refuse to go back to that Dizzyland. It is a police state anyways. I miss when I would drop acid and watch the parade!

  • I was at Disney World as a kid in 1977, the parades opening year at Disney World. It was certainly one of a kind then. 32 years later, its still one of a kind. I never cared much for the new parades. Old school is the best school!

  • I prefer the old version........ I hate this new version... Oh well... I guess I'll get used to it.

  • @KerliFanatic I won't. I hate the "new" soundtrack, if you can really call it new, since most of it is from Tokyo Disneyland's version of the parade.

  • Agreed. It's definitely grown on me, but it just doesn't sound, "synthy" enough for lack of better words.

  • Isnt the new music from Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade DreamlightS ?

  • I was there the week before this new one premiered!

  • They should use the old synth effect song, even though the tune is the same I just miss the old times I guess

  • After working on this parade for 10 years I agree. They should have stayed with the old synth effect song.

  • what did you do in the parade?

  • @Disneydanny I was a parade foreman in-charge of guest control.

  • When not being contracted by Hasbro for their television shows, Soundwave takes up other gigs on the side to keep Energon on the table.

  • I love this parade. It just sucks that in order to watch Fantasmic after, you have to fight the crowds watching the fireworks.

  • Like the old music annd the blue fairy better, but this version is great too :)

  • i saw the electrical parade a few weeks ago and it was very good and very bright. but it was hard seeing the fireworks show.

  • I like the new lighting effects... very cool. But I think I prefer the old music.

  • 10493829, the parade rfor the last two weeks of December

  • Lol at alices voice! i love her!

  • anyone know if Disney will be releasing the new soundtrack for the electrical parade?

  • The music in the beginning....where did you get that? It's so cool!

  • I love what they've done with the parade! I saw it again June 24th... amazing every time! Although i miss Blue Fairy & Dumbo. =( I really wish they would bring it back to Main Street and maybe put a different parade in DCA. I first saw it on Main Street. ^^

The only thing that really irks me is the fact that they changed the key of the music from A Flat Major to G Major. I think it sounded a lot better in A Flat Major. =/ Buuut that's just me I suppose.

  • I want the new 2009 Song.

  • look up "Tokyo Disneyland's Electrical Parade Dreamlights MP3" and you'll find it. It's basically the same.

  • My friend knows the lady who choreographed all of this parade :) i saw the electrical parade for the first time this yr and now i can watch it when ever on youtube :) (: my friend does the shows at knotts and she was telling me that disneyland dances r way more fun to learn ...if you notice when the music starts the preformers start dancing even though they cant be seen .. thats amazing!!!

  • the last time i watched this parade was in Tokyo years back, and I was absolutely thrilled. watching it again on your video brought tears to my ears because i remembered how thrilled i was to meet Disney Heroes! thanks for the video.

  • i saw this on june 13. it was great! hadn't seen it since i was 9. i prefer the old music though.

  • I finally saw this parade again after 20 years, and almost cried watching it! It This was probably the last time I'll ever see it, so watching your videos is like...WOW!!! Thanks, cuz we didn't record it!

  • By far, out of all the new Disney's Electrical Parade videos I've seen, yours seems to be the better one, job well done

  • This is amazing, everything looks amazing redone...its impressive what things look like now with all this modern technology, but what they did back then was still amazing considering how well they did it with such lesser technology. back then was all lightbulbs if i remember right...now a days they could do it with LED's...big difference

  • This should go back to main street.

  • I love when the Turtle spins!

  • you know the driver of that thing has gotta be dizzy

  • ok no offense to you cause this is a great video, but i really hate that they changed the music and took the blue fairy out! they were classics! especially the music they could have at least kept that the same!

  • I don't know why, and there are a lot of bad comments on this from Disney fans and I am one of them but I absolutely adore most of the new music. The only one which I don't care for is Pinocchio.

  • @mastromjm Conversely, I think the only part they got right with the new soundtrack was the Pinocchio part. It's the most electronic sounding part of the entire soundtrack now.

  • I just went to Tokyo Disneyland yesterday and had taken movie of the same parade using Canon camera and of course the movie came out kind of suck.

Can I ask what brand and model of your camcorder? I want to go buy exactly the same one - the quality of your movie is amazing! I'm very impressed!

  • MintCrocodile's videos have this amazing, almost binaural stereo sound separation. Love that!

  • at least Tink gets to move more then the Blue Fairy, she only had to repeat 6 steps: wave wand three times wave to the right, wave wand 3 more times wave to the right i THINK occasionally she blew kisses too

  • Where did you find the instrumental version of the light parade theme song (it's called Baroque Hoedown, i think) played at the very beginning of the video? I wanna hear the full version of that recording. ^^

  • There is *talk* of expanding the parade route through Carsland, if they do it it will make the parade route the longest of any Disney park

  • It could happen, but maybe not, they already have a backstage area in Sunshine Plaza, but I don't think that some of the floats could go through Hollywood Pictures Backlot.

  • Just checked for video from the 13th. same soundtrack

  • i was there on june 13th, and i'll swear that's not the soundtrack they played...

  • 7:55 Sbail "Well HOW am i supposed to spin?? Flip myself upside down??"

  • Thank you... I like the new show!

  • Thanks for posting this!!!

  • GOD THE VIDEO IS FRIGGIN CLEAR!! So's the audio. Not typical for any Disney show or any Disney-thing-in-the-dark.

  • Am I the only one that likes the new Music.

  • no ur not i love it too

  • it sounded like dreamlights

  • Nice filming. You have a very good hand.

I don't like the new music. It's not true to the electrical parade style. It's too "light and fluffy" if you know what I mean.

  • I understand. They hould have kept the original soundtrack, even though the music isn't "new." It's from Tokyo Disney's Electrical Parade.

  • Hey, I was sitting in the same area as you on this day. It was exciting to see all the new changes. You can faintly hear me saying that this is Dreamlights music. Yes, the getting through the crowd afterwards was tedious as hell.

  • darn the tokyo music was my idea for the future of the parade when i become an imageneer.well at least the other idea of me bringing it back to main street never happended.plus i thought about adding ina couple of new floats in it's future and return of old ones.

  • There are already rumors of it coming back to Main Street. It's not a new idea to bring it back.

  • That would make it easier for California Adventure visitors to decide between the "Electrical Parade" and the "World of Color" light show.

  • I don't see them being it back to Disneyland's Main Street, because that would more or less put an end to the Fireworks Spectatulars over the Castle. I think it would be more likly that it will be ether removed(to make way for "World of Color" or be re-routed through Carsland, Cause really the can't have both happen at the Pier.. and Carsland is Route 66, AKA the "Main Street of America" that would let them add the words "Main Street" back into the Intro/exit.

  • I think Disney can do it. If they did it in the 70's, 80's, and 90's, they can do it now.

  • The fireworks they had in the 70s-90s, where just basic fireworks, it is nothing like the New One, Magical or Remember..., the traffic jam alone would make it difficult to pull off.

I still say they will either retire it again or reroute it. This would also give each park 2 night time showcases.

  • I agree, if Disney really wanted to bring it back to Main Street, they would find a way to do it.

If they run it during winter, it gets darker earlier and they would be able to run it earlier, and still have the fireworks at 9:25 like always. But then again, there's less crowds during the winter, and probably more demand for the parade during the summer time.

  • they used to run this practically year round when it first came to DCA (even going so far as to have a 2nd showing at 10:30(that didn't last very long) I think budget was a factor.

  • And there are no more units to return. They're all there now. Except for the Blue Fairy and Dumbo, which rumor has it, are returning next year. All the other old units don't exist anymore.

  • A friend who works backstage at the parade told me they took the Blue Fairy apart, and all they left was the frame. So, either she isn't returning, or they are going to give her a new fabric and add in the LED lights.

I really hope she returns. She was my favorite.

  • at keast she isn't totally dead. when I first heard about her dismantling I kep picturing the float having sledgehammers bashing at it. I hope the distruction wasn't that grusome.

  • Oh I hope so. I designed these costumes in 2001 when the parade came back (to DCA). I loved doing the clowns. They were some of my favorites, next to the Cinderella Court.

  • Who are you? I was the costume designer when the parade came to DCA. The art directors wanted to add a 'world theme' float I recall, and bring back Pinnochio and the Seven Dwarves floats. That was 2001-02. I remember the Main St rumors too.
