  • I leave school in 1 year to join the RAF Regiment this is the kind of thing i love to see!!!

  • These are heroes in my eyes if you think they died for the queen doing a job that not many have the gutts to do, sacrifice their lives because they believe they make a small difference to other people lives most of the lads that lose their lives are the ones who would give their left arm to protect a small kid or feed a starving family its not all about killing the enemy but doing great things and protecting this nation and dieing in honour so RIP to the heroes.

  • An amazing video. It does the Regiment proud! Thanks

  • i LOVE RAF REGIMENT. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE AND STILL DO. AND THANK YOU TO THE REST OF THE ARMED FORCES

  • Catterick, used to live there as a kid in the late 1970's when my dad was posted there during it's time as an RAF Regiment training camp. Always remember seeing this balloon in which the Regiment guys would be doing their parachute jumps. Was even a spectacular sight when it was lit up at night too. Memories

  • all our servicemen are heroes but let down by spinless politicians sicne WW1.We cant even live decently on our war pensions. Yes the Govt give Billions to asylum seekers who get more just for being here than we do for pensions and serving OUR COUNTRY

  • Tonto on the boat 51sqn. Per Ardua

  • Si Law used to be in 51sqn @ Lossie, nice vid. Per Ardua.

  • Si Law used to be in 51sqn @ Lossie, nice vid. Per Ardua.

  • Nice to 51 Sqn back in business. I was there toward the end in 1992.

  • nice vid but dont forget us Auxies ;)

  • excellent video-well done..per ardua

  • I knew some Rock apes when I was in the Army. I found them to be excellent soldiers who had more pride in their regiment than most infantry regiments ever did. A very underestimated mob who deserve more reccognition. Soldiering's an art, and they are artists in their own right. Rock on.

  • @outside4areacleaning Stop talking crap.Soldierings an Art ? My arse. I assume you were one of those blokes that had a Hissy Fit when they shoved all you REMFs into the RLC.

  • The guys at the end of the video, is this a tribute to there memories?

  • @bassettrd mainly yes, but its for all the Rock apes from WWII those killed by the IRA etc

  • FQAC

  • haha! my boss is in the video twice!, once at 1:02 and then at 2:42 lol the man is a legend in his own way

  • well done brilliant

  • Per Ardua fellas, rip to our fallen brothers. 1sqn 97-02

  • The RAF Regt is one of the most modest undersung regt's in the British Military, I was regular RAF for 12 years, I had the honour to serve with 26 Sqn RAF Regt for three of those years, it changed my life. I am very proud of you all, and wish you a safe tour of duty.

  • ever since i saw my grandads wings i wanted to join the raf. i've dedicated my self to becoming a pilot with them. (now i just need to finish school)

  • I am ex RAF 25 years served aircraft eng. but I am sure as hell proud of you guys, give em hell. I do a few little bits for help for heros, I wish I could find time to do more, if you read this then please do a few bits to help. It all adds up!

  • On a more positive note: Good luck out there lads n lasses and a big CHEERS...!!

99.9% of the people are proud of you all.... 0.1% are miserable bastards.

  • @Kierlawrence91

Why are their so many white people in the Ruwandan Air Force (RAF)? Are they instructors who train the Ruwandans?

  • GOD loves the apes - we mortals sit in their shadows!

  • thans to people who appreciate us! we dont usually get that because people think we are regular raf. ta

  • @sheffield4life Big ears ??!

  • im not happy with the bitchin goin on in these comments, i went through basic training and served in N. Ireland and Iraq with graham livingston who was the in first picture at the end of this video, he was 1 of my closest mates in the regt and not only that an amazin lad and i miss him evreyday.

Help For Heros is an amazing charity who have helped countless forces personell and their families, this is a video to remember all those who have sadly lost their lives doing wot they loved.

  • Politics goes out of the question when your out fighting on the front line. You dont do it for the wankers that sit behind their perfect little desk all day. Moaning that taxes aren't high enough while nobbing their secretary. You do it for good, decent, British people, your family and for your mates fighting along side you. :D

  • And we thank the apes - because they are airmen with guns! You boys have my utter respect! Oh and for the detractors you will never compare. I had a shite the other day and it had a higher intellect!

  • Queen and Country, nice one lads!

  • Fantastic Vid,

Always proud of the RAF REGT and proud of the old and the new. We are as good today as we have always been. Good bless all the families who have lost some one close. Carry on the good work lads.

    Vic Rose

  • To all lads of the Regiment out in Iraq and Afghanistan, hope you make it back ok, you're doing a great job. And those in the UK, well done as well. I'm in the ATC and am going on Regiment work experience up at Honnington in October. Looking forward to it so much.

    Cheers

  • cold play- cemetry of london. and u dont do mile and half. its 3 miler that u do on pgac. but u do 1.5 mile PB in training. but yer work on long distance and build up your upper body.

  • im in the raf regt n i think tht people who just come on here to slag of other units need to get a grip and a life. also start getting the message about the charity!!

  • awright chaps. im looking to join the regiment. Any tips?? like, mile an half times, length of tabs etc?? currently working on fitness.

    also, whats the song??

    cheers guys.

  • just aim to do 8min milesfor 3 or 4 miles comfortably, and expect to tab 10k. dont focus too much on running tho doogal the tg course is mainly about body strength, do alot of swimming and press ups/chin ups and u'll be laughin

  • The simple fact here is that the muslim world will not stand together as one& condem what the talibam are doing. Its Northern Ireland all over again!!!!, its time to stop worrying about morality& hurting their feelings . In some Muslim states you can be beheaded for carrying a Bible, open your eyes folks time for reality to take its grip.

  • Who cares who does what!!!!!

Help for heros is an awsome charity!!!!!!!

    You all serve your country!

  • at least we got the bottle to serve finzo27, im starting basic for the RAF in april, and all my family are ex forces from all 3 services and it goes back generations, until you serve and have to suffer what everone else has to, keep your trap shut and go claim ya dole money

  • ''at least we got the bottle to serve?'' Good response mate. I take it your not going into intelligence?Lol

  • hey finzo27 shut the fuk up nob jockey!!! these lads fightin!!!and its fukin tough and hard and they got some fukin bottle 2do wa they do!! Taliban wa they done 2 us!!dont u watch the news ball bag!!how bout the nhs doctor that was inspired by the taliban 2 blow up london and glasgow airport good thing didn make the bomb proply!!!! the talibas use children packed wid explosives tha fukin sick!!your just an infidel in ther eyes!!!so....start talkin some sense!!!!!!!!!!!

  • These people are not hero's. It should be called 'Help For Mugs' because thats what they are. How much blood has to be spilt untill we realise that this war which was completly pointless in the first place is not one we can win. And if we can win it at what cost? What have the Taliban ever done to us? All we have acheived in Afgan and Iraq is provide a call to jihaad for Muslims around the world These 2 wars have destroyed life as we know it for many generations.

  • *slap*

  • 13 year with a wheel barrow. Tragic

  • finzo27.What have the Taliban ever done to us?..try bomin england & 9/11 , killin inocent ppl beheadin ppl cuz thy feel like doin it kidnappin ppl that r there to help then eather shootin rapein beatin the livin shit outta them torturein that was mainly british then beheadin um ova da net thy r mkein 12 year old fkin kids tern in2 suicide bombers! and u wanna stick up for them? y dont u fuck off to afganistan join there rag headed insain world then do us all a faver n die u twat

  • The Talliban did not bomb London, they were all home grown extremists from right here in blighty. And im not sticking up for nobody, what they did when they were in power was horrible. But so what?? Was it our problem? Are there not countless countries facing the same problems? Lets just go invading everyone shall we? Congo,Zimbabwe, lets go crazy. And the yanks had it coming. We were under the cosh from the IRA for years.Should we have bombed northern Ireland?

  • hmm, to be honest i dont know why we fight for our country...oh yer to keep u safe but maybe we shud'nt n those kind of ppl hu say stuff like this shud go to war n see how u like it

  • So your keeping me safe by recruiting thousands upon thousands of terrorists? Thanks a lot my friend. I feel so safe now.

  • oh yer recruit loads of terrorists... i fukin fight most of em to keep ppl safe and unfortunetaly you and others who disagree wid all this and i wish i didnt sign up, n basically i wish i didnt fight for your kind

  • Your really missing the point here arnt you. You fight them? You personally? If your in the RAF Regiment i doubt that. And you don't fight for me. Don't big yourself up. You fight for the government. And you should be glad you joined up, by the looks of your spelling it's the best place for you.

  • Okay Finzo, you're a prick.

You insult people's spelling, then make spelling mistakes yourself? For example, it's 'You're' in the context you used it, and it's 'Taliban', not 'Talliban', from a previous post. So, put simply 'Shut the fuck up'. You know nothing. If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all, wanker.

  • I think you will find i was just putting my opinion across and got bombarded with abuse from other people.

Fair enough the spelling comment backfired on me, but if people can't have an intelligent debate without insulting people what does that say about them?

  • actually you fight for the queen the goverment has nothing to do with it

  • The government uses you like tools for their needs. So you fight for the government.

  • gov can only call you up for conflicts not war, only queen can do that (technically)

  • You fight for the queen and the country.

  • And you're probably some nobcheese no good student, supping beer and wanking to gay porn while these good men and women go out there to maintain your freedom.

    you're a pathetic little leach...!

  • @Finzo: The taliban are not muslims. My mates a muslim and he don't go around murdering people and saying its what the Qur'an says.

Besides which they started the whole thing by attacking America. I partially agree that the Iraq war was fought on the wrong reasons. WMDs? Although ousting Saddam was never a bad thing.

The fighting will probably go on for decades, but it's better that it goes on in their back yard than in ours don't you think?

  • Hey Rich, I understand what you mean about the taliban are not muslims. The fact is though they are. Even though there beliefs are worlds apart from the true meaning of islam. Its just a shame that the morons who commented on here before can't understand that.

  • there needs to be more mulsims speaking out against the taliban ...becasue at the mo there isnt !!! silence is not helping and reinforces the oppinion that you are not with us ....therefore your against us!!!!

  • Brilliant tribute to these guys that so often go unrecognised. Help for Heroes is a fantastic cause. I've just submitted my own application to the RAF Regiment and I'd like to think people will still recognise the hardship our lads and ladies in all 3 services go through, while I'm out there on tour too. True heroes all of them!

  • Whats the song called? great video btw. got my interview this saturday. Cant wait to get in

  • sounds like coldplay.. just get a few of the lyrics, type em in google followed by 'lyrics' and it should come up.

  • coldplay - cemeteries of london

U have probably found out the track name by now but i thought i would sling it up anyway.

    Good luck in the RAF

  • Nice video mate well done..
