I love this song! It is one of my favorites songs! I love the bridge:

I like the way they can change a "old song" and use it to help reach a new generation. Please remember that worship songs are meant to point to Him and give Him praise. As long as people are singing to Him with a heart to follow, what does it matter if the song is a remake or not, He gets the glory. For everyone who dislikes the new version, there are some that love it. Praise him with your voice, praise him with guitar, praise Him with drums and flute. Get what I am trying to say brothers?

I dont think Chris Tomlin meant to rip off the song title but rather that Hymn- which is now in the public domain-inspired him to write this one. Both are wonderful praises to the Lord!

Amen! Doesn't this song just sound inspired in a time of personal worship? During personal worship sometimes it's hard to sing a hymn without it growing into a new and personal song in response to God through the inspiration of that hymn, His greatness, and His word. A provocative question, "How can I keep from singing Your praise?" Yet, I find that somehow my life is so often characterized by so much less than praise of God. It is good for the heart to rehearse all the reasons that our praise is due to God, which is why I find this song brings me right where I need to be... praising and glorifying God.
