  • I sure could use this to hone my riding acumen. I can stay on but that's about the best I can say about my riding. I do okay, but this would probably help my balance tremendously. I could concentrate on me instead of being concerned with a thinking, feeling creature with their own will, under me. I like the screen you can watch. Also the fact that the instructor can actually stand next to you and point out your position. This is a great confidence booster! No fear in this equation.

  • i love a tail :D

  • This is very helpful for my walking and general muscle co-ordination...Thanks!

  • i totally want one so i can put in my backyard and look at people in cars and say...."HAHA IM GONNA BEAT YOU!!".....lol

  • WHERE? I WANT IT !

  • Were do u get that?? plz plz answer!!

  • everything works with computers :D one day, you don't have to leave the house, because everything is in there, your laptop, your horse, your shoppingcenter, &&& ;)

  • ill stick witha real horse

  • man this would be awesome to have access to! I'm used to riding really high strung horses and I've developed some bad habbits! this thing and my riding instructor would kick my ass!

  • can you jump on that too?

  • and what is supposed to happen when you pull the reins like this? stop the hose????

  • I bet you can't simulate the gaits of a friesian xD

  • I think that is very good for people to learn sitting on a horse very well.

But I also think that it is too expensive for the most people to buy this :-(

  • I would defiantly love to train on something like this!

  • I could use a lesson like this, just to improve my riding a bit!

  • watching this made me want to ride a horse!

  • This seems good for getting better leg positioning, posture etc w/o your instructor having to stop you every two seconds or screaming across the arena. But other then that... What does this do for you?

  • "Mom can i get a horse?" "No you can't. Because you have to take care of it every day, and we dont have the money."

"Oh well.. Mom can i get a Riding Simulator?" " Riding Simulator!?" "Yes. It is a horse you dont have to take care about, and it doesnt cost so much when you buy it. And i can get lesson every single day"

  • @PurpleCillee I'm sure this machine is a LOT more expensive than a real horse when you buy it.

  • i wish i could have one of this to play a wii game with

  • It looks like a fun and useful machine, but I think I've ridden only 1 or 2 horses with a canter that smooth.

  • takes the fun and excitement out of it when your horse spooks or is being stubborn ;)

  • The thing is... A real horse would be totally different... Faster, bouncier...

  • You can't imitate a horse with a machine. Riding a horse is an art: feeling the natural gait beneath you, the warm body, the bond you create, each breath and jump anticipated by the both of you -- technology cannot take over this.

  • @AuTuMnLoVeSkOaLaS I totally agree. This fake horse won't react to the wrong leg pressure or the way your body is moving. Looks funny, but no.

  • @AuTuMnLoVeSkOaLaS but you can surely train your abdominals and learn how to keep the balance using them. The "pupil" uses her abdominals correctly but The trainer gives her wrong indications !

  • @AuTuMnLoVeSkOaLaS They're not trying replace the horse. It's simply a training tool. So people can focus on their positioning etc, with out havening to worry about all the stuff you have to do on a real horse.

  • @AuTuMnLoVeSkOaLaS I'm not a rider... and I have no right in saying this. But It's true that you create a bond with an animal, whenever you learn with him, even if it's a horse or an other animal. But I still think it's a good machine to teach how to ride, before you get on a horse and hurt yourself or the animal... but that's my opinion *hope I didn't offend anybody*

  • if you ride that thing it just means you cant ride a real horse

    >:(

  • I wanna buy one!!! Where can you find it? XD

  • Hi-tech and useful riding/teaching aid for sure. But I can't stop staring at the still life carefully arranged in the loft. Only in Del Mar. XD

  • I went on one of these and they r awesome XD galloping was really fun

  • I've just got a question, and I hope you wouldn't mind answering it. I viewed the video but never really saw if the riding simulator is given clues to move up into a gait. Do they pick up on the outside leg to get into a canter and even a bit of pressure to move into a trot or is this all done with a push of a button by the instructor? Thank you ahead of time!

  • The student looked like she was REALLY getting into it, if you know what I mean!.

  • thank you for show us your training video. I enjoyed it. I was hoping to know how they feel. Are they very smooth? Are they a good tool to use first then ride a horse or is it better to ride a horse then get on the simulator?

  • @34Pippy It is super similar to riding a horse. It gives you the rhythm, feel and motion of how a horse goes. It is a great way to get the rider to put themselves in the perfect position. But riding the real thing is what you definitely want to aspire too.

  • @34Pippy en mi opinión demasiado suave no se asemeja a la realidad pero es una buena practica

  • Can you buy theese in New Zealand?!

  • no mamen! This will never be the same as riding a real horse. Specially a big moving hot warmblood. Sorry...

  • @LoveJalisco haha I know what you mean :) It's more for working on your seat though so that you can sit better and stay on big moving hot warmbloods better :)

  • what an amazing training tool!

  • What an amzing training tool!
