My God, How much did all that cost? Good thing it can still run on the Gasoline sold from a local Gas Station. However, I'd have to take it to one were there's no ethanol added.

Yes, there are some gas stations still around that sell ethanol-free gasoline (lol) like it was 5 years ago. Although you may have to drive 10-15 miles for the nearest one.

@tarmac2001 I don't know where you live, but gas around here (Illinois) has contained 10% ethanol for as long as I can remember. And gearheads around here still run some crazy setups on pump 93 with no issues.

@CREAMFILLEDANISH85 Ethanol ignites at lower tempertures and pressure than gasoline which is not nessacarily a good thing for a gasoline engine. Detonation before a piston reaches the top dead center will ruin a engine quite quick therefore.

They're now manufactoring engines in new vehicles to handle a blend with 85% ethanol. However, the car I own was made in the late 90's when pure gasoline was still avaliable at most gas stations.

I get the feeling that Bigorangetrucker is an idiot. Yes you need an air filter if you plan to keep any kind of car part longer than 1 run at a track.

I like this car, I'm planning to purchase an '04 solid back with the stock wheels on it. I suggest to this Motorsports company, to put the standard rims back on it, or at least go to American Racing's "Torq Thrust"

I'm sick of reading comments about how the turbo doesn't sound right. It's a centrifugal supercharger!!! And you might want to check the clearance on your compressor blades.

PROJECTO If you read or know as much as you think you do they do make a stroker kit for the 4.6 modular motor yielding 302 ci. Maybe a little more research on your part pal!!

@SB69, 4.6 is a 289 smallbore, 302 (305) is 4.9 L with the same diameter as a 351. In order to build a LeMan's legal engine (305ci max) for the 1969-GT, Ford took a Windsor, Ontario 351 and slapped the connecting rods of the 289 making the convenient 302ci. A 4.6 stroked up would produce 327 not a 302. At least that's the old 289s, I don't know if they made new rods to create a shortbore 302.

600rwhp is great, but I've never liked the sound of centrifugal superchargers. I personally would have gone with a turbo setup over one of those. It would quiet down the exhaust a bit, but that's a worthwhile tradeoff in my opinion.

Yeah, but if you lose the wheels, I feel you lose some of the Marauder feel; it looks more like a Crown Vic, which isn't a BAD thing, but its a Marauder, not a Crown Vic. Those beautiful 5-spokes should stay.

There ain't nothing wrong with a Vic, man. We just got rid of one (it'll be missed....). Personally, I've always wanted to have two cars; one, a Mercury Marauder, stock looks, some work under the hood, nothing too radical, and second, a Crown Vic with the SVT Lightning 5.4 engine and a T-5 tranny!
