+she said she was at the house on the note she wrote and gave to the police (voluntarily) + she says she doesn't remember anything that hapenned that night because she had smoked pot - her cell phone was turned off at 9pm - she has no alibi whatsoever
And she said she woke up at 10am but her cell phone was activated at 6am and was seen at a shop around 7:30am
She didn't call the police! Postal agents arrived at 12:25 but the police was called at 12:51
She told the postal agents she had call Meredith's phone but and the phone rang and rang and there was no answer - phone records show the call lasted 3 seconds!
Amanda said she didn't react to the door being locked cause Meredith always locked her door - when Filomena arrived she said is was found it very unusual since Meredith never locked her door unless when leaving the house.

If the Knoxes aren't happy with the sentence given to their daughter they should appeal as much as they can/want - the Italian law allow endless appeals - they can appeal directly to the Supreme Court if it fits them.

Italy's problem is rather the difficulty to convict culprits than the risk of putting innocent people in jail.

She didn't call the police! Postal agents arrived at 12:25 but the police was called at 12:51

On top of it: there was a clear evidence of a clean-up. Your sleuthing skills don't impress me at all!

I guess he realized the mistakes made by Amanda and tried to distance himself from her.
The most damning mistakes (besides the spots they missed or didn't clean well and were revealed by luminol) were IMO the black lamp forgotten inside the victim's room and the staged break-in that would inevitably point at someone living in the house (as you mention in your next comment).

If the Knoxes aren't happy with the sentence given to their daughter they should appeal as much as they can/want - the Italian law allow endless appeals - they can appeal directly to the Supreme Court if it fits them.
But STOP trying to find excuses for the conviction of your LYING daughter - if she were innocent (I doubt) she should have stuck to the truth!

Italy's problem is rather the difficulty to convict culprits than the risk of putting innocent people in jail.
In knox + Sollecito's case, this risk was inexistent, taking into consideration that both defedants had the best lawyers money can hire - their lawyers are also Representatives in the Parliament with a lot of political influence - nobody would dare to mess with the proceedures in front of them!
They have said in public: "There was no misscarriage of justice!"
