  • i thought it was pronounce dee-ga ghai.

  • @spoopshitoyf same that really annoyed me !!!!

  • haha i have that black leotard

  • i just started classes and im not getting the terminology AT ALL. in class what ur saying is a degage we call a passe? so whats what??? i am sooo confused!

  • ....where's the fifth foot position, which endehors ....?

  • I wish I had her body! :)

  • She is very good at ballet. Wish I had learned...

  • hai davvero poca capacità ma togli questi video che sei RIDICOLA....translate

  • hai davvero poca capacità

  • You have such a beautiful pointe

  • Seriously? They spelled "bar" instead of "barre"? I'm not pretending to be like that kind of people who trashes everything, but if you're doing an instructive video you should do it right. Not to mention her pronunciation.

  • @jellybeans917 I don't think they're telling you that you need a barre. She could be referring to anything, a railing or balustrade, hahah. It doesn't even look like SHE'S using a barre; I've never seen one like that, though so I may be wrong.

She never did specify that you need to do it in a ballet studio; just an open space. (:

  • For people that do not have any formal ballet training I think they should not have shown pointe shoes as ballet slippers. A lot of people already think that those are the only type of ballet shoe and someone could go get some being misled by that clip.(which could lead to improper use...injury etc)

They should have shown flat ballet slippers or even recommended socks instead

  • @WizdomSeeker1 Good point... As a ballet dancer myself, many of my friends thought that when you started dancing, you inmediately started with pointe. That's just ignorance, and as it is a video focused on people who probably wants to start dancing, it should prevent injures that may be produced by the same ignorance

  • degage means "to clear"...but regardless...nice degages

  • @swimfly719

In Ballet it actually means to Disengage or Depart ...it is a brushing motion made with the foot which is why she said that in the video. (to clear could also be one of the definitions though they all make since and relate to the movement)

  • wow hater!!! you c em everywhere.

  • this looks like battement jete to me.

  • @shortandchub I'm pretty sure it's the same thing. Most of my teachers call it degage, but my teacher who grew up and studied in Russia called it battement jete

  • I'm pretty sure the emphasis is put on the a in degage so it sounds like de-GAH-ge

  • @W0WDungeons Yeah I'm french and it's Dégagé which is prononced De-Gah-Ge

  • @W0WDungeons Correctooooo! Buttttt we say tomato, she says tomahto. (I guess it's spelled differently too lol)

  • I'm not sure her positions are that well, her fifth position is not right

  • i thought deage means to disconnect?

  • @ladymsy2 disingage

  • No it's not, and even if she had horrible french what the hell does that matter, it's about the move moron not how well she does/ doesn't say it.

  • terrible bad french ur fifth is terrible

  • terrible bad french

  • @Danyballerina6 haha et tu parle francais?
