mmkay ive searched and found nothing as to the problem going on with mine... playstation works absolutly fine, no issues what so ever except one time ages ago is froze, but i do work it a lot, after all it is practicly my computer.
That being said, i just bough a used copy of MLB 11 the Show, the game loads up fine until the loading screen, it even plays the whole entry video. But it wont load past this point, no other issies with other games. System problem or disk problem?
@DavidOrtiz36 I believe it is the disk in your case cause if it already got you pass to load the video then the ps3 is doing its job its probably scratches on the disk or blurred data
@yeastori I didnt believe it was, but upon close examination it was the disk, when i took it in they told me what i already knew, blue ray was almost impossible to scratch, but if it is scratched it is a deep one that will keep it from working.
Turns out that there was a tiny scratch on it, and it didnt work because of it, took it back, got a replacement, and been playing ever since. Thank you though for your video, its probably really helpful to those in need.
XBM stands for Cross Media Bar...the the menu system it goes across and down...that was sony originally labeled it...my drive crashed this morning on my ps3..not a happy camper considering it will b 2 months at the minimum before i can afford a new drive..

to start a game start up a demo then Push the ps button and the game shuld poip up in the XMB
