I wouldn't recommend this for an audition though, mostly because it's heavily overdone everywhere and unless you really can set yourself apart from the other altos and artists who have sung this song, it wouldn't do you a lot of good.

Well yeah, but then why didn't she say "the one I wanted was you" as opposed to "the one I wanted was yours." This makes it sound like she wants whoever he's with.
