Fountain Powerboats - 2008 SKA Tournament in Key West, FL

fountains are cool and everything, and don't get me wrong, i'd take one over almost any other kind of boat if I could afford the gas. but i'll stick to a 28 foot panga with 1/3 the hp and 2/3 the speed.

There is not a center console out there that does good in 4-6 footers, cause that would be downright nasty. That is unless your off the throttles. Fishing may not be about having a fast boat but it is nice getting there first when you can. Fountain does extremely well in the SKA with all their fishing teams. I may be biased though as I have a triple outboard 34 Fountain.

what kinda jackass makes u turns when other tournament boats are all on the pins?...and fountains are fast but if you get in 3-4 footers better start gettin the mouth peices and helmets on....can we say SLAM!!!

I still don't know what this video is trying to prove. To me, it seems like the guy in the fountain just likes to burn more gas. AND, hes got about 3 rods and probably light on bait, tackle, etc. The guys in the other boats could really care less if a boat is faster than them in a tournament, because fishing is not about going fast.

All the other boats have full fishing loads, the asshole in the Fountain has 4 rods and probably only 1/3 fuel, no ice or live bait. Another clown with an inferiority complex.

OK.. fountain is fast but who comes in with all the fish? SeaVee, Yellowfin, Contender, etc. Fountain would not do good in 4-6 + foot seas.

Well of course the fountain made it up there (racing roots) it has a deep-V Hull so it is able to cut through waves alot easier.

@SniperOffshore its not jealousy at all.. king fishing is for vaginas who like to get there asses kicked running that fast offshore just for "bragging rights". Who would waste their money to go catch an oily, nasty kingfish then burn all there fuel to get home first........ I think i will stick to real offshore fishing and throw those nasty kingfish back in the water.

@rcs202 Kingfish are good eaten, and could win you $5,000 in a tournament. I catch kingfish all the time. We don't catch them to brag, we catch them so we can have fun. That's what fishing is about!

@SloppierTAY you dont have to try to convince me that kingfish are good..... i have been fishing my whole life and its just my opinion and my choice to stay away from it.... dont get my wrong i have had some good times doing it but i would rather run the extra 50 miles to the stream and have fun
