  • ese pupo hassanteeman...with all these why should we as yoruba people elevate jewish/arabic culture and tradition above our most beloved, cherished and rich yoruba heritage...so sad for the havoc that colonialism wrought on my people's heritage and legacy...

  • idinrete1, I couldn't have said it any better.

  • as the child of parents from the heart of yorubaland.. i have always taken my culture for granted and even dismissed it in my youth, in my middle yrs i know realise just how important culture is and just how rich yoruba culture is... white people study it.. aa's are just begining to discover it.. south american blacks revere shango , why do we not promote our culture in the outside world what is better than yoruba culture ? the colonial mentality that we are saddled with is the main reason .

  • Exactly and even go to war because of imposed religions like Christianity or Islam. They have nothing to do with the Yoruba or any African traditions or religions. the new generations have a lot to do to reform all foreign systems crippling the country's progress and their people living in the land. ALL people for that.
