NICE, VERY NICE! I have the same camera but when I upload it it looks nothing even close to this! It literally looks like we're using 2 different cameras if you compared yours to mine.....Just hoping you could tell me what settings you used to get this great footage? I shoot in highest mode on FH 1080....It looks great when viewing it from my camera...But somewhere between loading it onto my computer and uploading to youtube I have CLEARLY GONE WRONG! Some help would be great...THANKS!

Nice movie! How do you decide between hdfh and hdfx recording mode? I just got a Sony HDR cx550v and have iMovie 08 My goal is to get videos to YouTube at 1080p. Thanks much. I thought the HDFX mode was higher than the HDFH mode. Trying to figure this out. Thanks for any help.

Supported Video resolutions are:

HD 1920x1080 and 1440x1080,

and SD (standard def). Other than that, there are several settings for different bitrates 16Mbps to 3Mbps which use less space.

what editing software do you use with this? what kind of computer do you have? hp, mac, dell? did you get the extra memory space for the video camera separate? how does it run on your computer? thinking about getting this camera, some input would be great thanks :)

havent edited yet but just downloaded Final Cut Express 4, i have a Macbook, and yes i got a 8gb Memore Card but it comes with 8 already, and it runs great on the computer, i wouldn't hesitate at all to get this great camera :-)

nope 1080p, no need to deinterlace when editing!
