It's a weapon called Resurrection Beads, and you can get it later in the game in the 'Northern Lands'.

When you equip the String of Beads (by collecting all stray beads), you gain unlimited ink.

Ah, sorry X3 Yeah, those are monsters. There are 3 different colors:

Green Scrolls: Easy Battle

Blue Scrolls: Medium Battles

Red Scrolls: Semi-Hard Battles

Orange Scrolls: Hard Battles

On the devil gate thingy, its my 3rd time playing it and im trying to get all the beads,

i ignored the gate the first time, but now i cant find it! :(

naw, amaterasu is genderless. the original godess is portrayed as both male and female, although more commonly female.

in this game, however, amaterasu is intentionally genderless

Actually in the Japanese and European versions they call her out as female almost entirely.

At a certain point though....Issun said "Ammy hates it when people point out HER flaws" so basically she's portrayed as a female.. and hence being called 'Mother'
