  • I LOVE your rendition of it. I like how you started slowly and the sped up. :)

  • My life long dream has always been to play on a Bosendorfer... That aside it's technically sound :)

  • Absolutely stunning! What an amazing little girl --- I can't believe that so much talent can shine through such a young child. She has to almost stand up to reach the pedals! :)

One could practice everyday for years on end and never reach the level that this child has already attainted.

All the best in your future and for as long you love to play --- please keep sharing your incredible talent with the world! :)

  • so nice....

  • perfect regato's when used.

and you have good accenting just would like to hear more dramatic piano's and forte. other than that, amazing!

  • She's still so young and small, except she can play so well

  • not a stable tempo and sometimes too harsh tones :S

    but otherwise good :)

    great job!!

  • !!! very good

  • brava!

  • She's amazing. Age has nothing with talent!! An 8 year old can be just as good as a 18 year old! All it is is practice and dedication!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Sounds like a talented adult playing instead of an eight year old girl. If someone were to listen to this without seeing the pianist, they'd probably think that, too.

  • o.m.g. this piano plays beautifully!!!!!

    and so does the player!!!

  • op 64-2 .. nice done :)

  • wow - this is amazing!

  • wow.

  • i love little asian girls who play the piano, they are amazing ! :)

  • O_O

  • Shes cute when trying to play the piece.

But this piece is for 15-16 years old high schoolers. Even most of them cant play it well.

  • excellent!!

  • Jesus, this is very beautiful. Even without counting that it is a little girl who's playing, it is played unbelievably awesome.

Please just change the title to opus 64 n°2 if possible...!

  • this is very nice phoebe!

  • nice job phoebe! I wish I can play like that!

  • wouaaa

    It's amasing 0_0 !!

She plays very very well !! *-*

  • totally no emotion put into the piece. horrible!

  • yes, and this girl is like 8 years old. What's your problem?

    I love it!

  • yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • tocas pero muy bonito apezar de que eres muy pequena

  • bravo!!!!!!!! awesome awesome im amazed u truly have talent !

  • Elle est merveilleuse. Je joue du piano depuis 9 ans et je suis incapable de jouer ainsi. Son interprétation est fantastique c'est vraiment beau. Seul Chopin lui même pourrait la jouer mieux. Bravo.

  • DEAR LORD. i wish i played HALF as good as her!

  • i'm 90 percent sure this is op. 64, not 34.

unlike a lot of children playing this piece and trying to act "cool" because they can play fast, this girl really has talent and plays this with heart and emotion. well done. not grouping her with adults or children, i'd say this is a very good interpretation.

  • yes, it's certainly not opus 34 I'm sure too.

  • I have been playing since age 5......and still can't play this piece.....guess I should have practiced more.....

Very good, and I love the piano too!

  • great, but this is nr. 64, :)

  • wow *_*

She plays very well!! I like this song very much!

  • Holy cow! She played that like a total veteran! If I wasn't watching the video and saw a little girl there, I'd swear it was someone with 20 years experience just by the sound... thoroughly impressed!

  • That's a great rendition by a young pianist!

BTW, please fix the title of the video so people can find it when searching for op 64.

  • God! She's amazing! It blew me off my feet! I bow to you!

  • what you have is a true love for the music. when some people play it sounds like work, but your playing is free.

  • Very nice! But please: none of those mannerism like LH conducting starting in 2:03! It doesn't do anything to the music and won't impress any musician!

  • damn.....the young ones kick my ass...lol

  • Many great pianist have played this piece, and their interpretation varies a lot, not only amongst each other but also from Chopin's notation. We've already heard elements such as exaggerated staccati in the A part, accelerando in the B part, the right thumb melody in the B part, and so on. Phoebe seems to have combined those elements into her own interpretation, and it works quite well!

I myself cannot play this any better...

  • The special use of this length rubato is her own interpretation. With it, is emphasized the dance aspect. What is important here, is the fact she is interpreting to the extent that she does. And, wonderfully.

  • I've never heard so original dynamics or interpretation. I am astounded!!! It is the most BEAUTIFUL WALTZ! BRAVA!!! OMG!!! I don't know what to say!

  • this is op.64 no.2, not op.34 no.3

  • Beautiful!

  • It's just wonderful! Bravo!

  • Dear Mr. lepaintre ( Jacques de Paris )

I personnaly think that Phoebe's interpretation of Chopin's Valse is very original and I like it deeply! On the contrary, I think Phoebe takes all her time to make to music flourish. And to contradict you to the end, I consider Phoebe to be already a great pianist.

    Patrick

  • Nice!

  • Phoebe, You are excellent!!!!!!!!!

  • Just right!! ... beautiful

  • I would quite simply say for your technique that it is frankly very good , but, Chopin sees in this opus 34 n31 flown away in a hurry. But I understand that you are desired of your share, to interpret it this manner; you have me a good technique to study it still more deeply, and to still read again this partition.

Still much you work will become a very large pianist...

    Mercie
