Personally, I feel that after Jim died and left her everything in his will-she had an obligation to him to get clean, and see to it that his dreams were realized. she could have gone on to publish more of his poetry seeing that she really knew him best. When she bought the cheapest pine box they had, and then left him there in paris-really spoke volumes.
Beautiful tribute very moving. Jim said "Did you have a good world when you died? Enough to base a movie on? He and Pam have proved their short lives touched so many people and movies and tributes will be made about them forever. RIP xxx
That shot at 1:27- I'd pay $5,000 for that bowl of fries today.
And those people behind need to turn around and look who's there! It's Jim "the lizard king" Morrison and his girl, Pam. What an awesome eternal love. Tugs at my heart.♥
Osservare la felicita' e l'amore altrui, mentre si strige in mano il catrame della propria paura...............Cristo e i manichini di mille vetrine vuote mi fanno compagnia........
I dont think Pam was Jim's "cosmic mate" any more than I believe Yicko Ono was John Lennon's soul mate. There's plenty of proof to the contrary. Jim and John had at least 1 thing in common - bad taste in women. Pam was even more damaged than Jim was, and he came to know it. Would have been interesting to know what each would have done had they had more time to get their lives in order. Rest in Peace Jim.
@Toodlem I think most people who use the term "soulmate" or "cosmic mate" are just referring to two people who are strongly and uniquely compatible with one another, as opposed to two people who are genuinely each other's saviours.
Just because we're paying our respect does'nt mean we're makeing god & jesus 2nd to pam & jim ok? I noticed pams lips too. They had silicone back then.My aunt had her breasts done in 67 I think.
Jesus Christ died for the sins of people so that those that believe in Him can have eternal life. He's giving mansions away and many, many other wonderful things of beauty, fun, and love for those that turn away from their sins and follow Him! And not to knock Morrison, but, he can't do any of those things for you. So please, people, do yourselves a fabulous favor and drop the weirdo Morrison and get with The One that'll make you shout for joy when your journey in this world is over!!:-)
@guyNbluejeans If Jesus died for the sins of everyone, why does humanity continue to sin? If God is supremely moral, why did he create us with both good and bad?
xXPinkGoddessXx Thanks for the friendly questions.:-) To get in-depth answers one needs to study the Bible. But here are my boiled down answers: 1) Humans are "fallen" spiritual beings and have a corrupted nature as a result. (Nevertheless, Jesus IMPLORES us to live a holy life because He is holy and one day we're to live with Him in Heaven.) 2) Same answer as the first question, i.e. we have fallen. From your YT account, I sense you're one of those sex type women. If so, you should RUN from it!
@guyNbluejeans Yes, but WHY are we "fallen" spiritual beings if God is omnipotent and therefore created us in his desired mould? What exactly did Christ's death bring to humanity if it is only our actions that can bring salvation?
@guyNbluejeans Why can't Christians accept the possibility that God is NOT a supremely moral entity, that immorality is just as valuable as morality in keeping balance, and is therefore given equal place here on Earth? Everything natural has ugliness, dark as well as light, and has since the dawn of time. Morality cannot exist independently without its opposite; the only beings that can live free of "sin" are the animals.
Jim was the boy frinend and a man who took the drugs to Pam, who dont used anyone drugs unti shel knew Jim!
He had only 18 years and she stayed on L. A for a short time. She was in her house, when Jim already use LSD nbd other drugs. I read that he feelt guilt about Pam's adction in downers.( Angels dance and angels die),. So, he felt that had protected her until his death. Why he gave his totally herance for her?
Jim was as charismatic and brilliant as they come,he did love and care about Pamela who was little more than a junkie whore. She contributed vastly, although Jim did have enormous addictions,to his untimely death. If she was anything more than a worthless junkie he would have had a far greater chance to survive and cope with the things that caused him pain.He was a troubled ,brilliant and creative man,she was a piece of shit and noone can refute that.
The surviving members of the Doors refute that.. they say that she was the best thing for Jim. Unlike everyone else, she calmed him down. She inspired countless songs, encouraged his poetry, dressed him (creating the style that we now all know him for), and she actually accepted him as he was, unlike the groupies and leeches around him. Check your facts before you bash Pamela. Jim was smart enough that he could see right through people, and there's a reason he kept Pam around so long.
@prasinos37 Funny how you judge Pam according to what she did with her own body, and yet Morrison is somehow exempt even though he did all that, and treated others worse on top of it? Artistic brilliance can never negate that.
good stuff definetly in love which is near to impossible to find, someone you can kick an shit on yet doesnt loose an oz of love which these guys cleary had, like elvis someone should have tried to step in do you know how much alcohole u have to drink to look like your in your 40's when your only in your late 20's an enormous amount but prob didnt do him in or give him heart attack prob heroin which did her in later
i think its just that the media and people who know them that have talked to the media interviews etc magnifies their lives for the public man people are eager to know things and stick there noses in places were all human beings we all feel the same as an artist i myself am an artist read philosophy psychology religion so i say its the media that exposes there lives
Sure does seem as if Pam either wanted to follow Jim, or couldn't be without him.
After his wife June passed, Johnny Cash expressly said he looked forward to being with her again; he died w/in 4 months.
I wonder if artists / musicians etc are any more inclined to such intense and deep commitment than other people, and if so, whether that's part of what led them to dedicate their lives to creative / expressive work?
Fine work-I really enjoyed it.A tragic couple.Morrison was scalded by the fire of his own genius. And Pam-she couldn`t live without him.Pam had to follow her beloved Jim into the flames of death.
your so right man i agree with you they looked older than they appear but to me it seems as though they were finally out of chaos and begining to settle down with each other jim wold prob making movies today or writing books and pam would be his wife and running her boutique
Maybe so, although from what I have read about Jim and Pams interlude in Paris, nothing much had changed with regards to their prior habitual and repetitive self indulgent lifestyle. Sad really, there seemed to be potential there for a more vigorously creative, and positive lifestyle change. In the end (pardon the pun), they (Jim & Pam), seemed to have lost their way, and became destitute, isolated, and disassociated.
It seems the past was catching up on Jim and Pam physically, at 27 they looked like a couple in their mid to late thirties in some of those Paris Pics.
the biggest lost ever was the lost of living on the edge and taking that edge to the next level. you will always carry the soul of a true poet and hold the mo jo to its last breath!
