I have the same gun, but its stock at the moment and is shooting low fps and having many problems with it. What would you recomend I do internally to make it have better fps? And what were the first things you upgraded internally? Cheers
@1037ab It's mainly for looks. In this case I used it to cover a longer than stock inner barrel. Without the silencer you would see the inner barrel protruding past the orange tip.
@StreetcatTTM There should be videos on it which is how I learned but if I remember correctly, you pop off the end cap then you use a long screw driver to remove the super long phillips screw. After that you twist off the ring on the stock closest to the receiver of the gun. Then you lift up the tab used for adjusting stock length and slide it all the way out. Something like that. Look up a video for more details =]
@StreetcatTTM you have to tighten the cylnder screw by the adjusting button and then move it half a click nd then tighten it again and then you can slide it off

The pistol grip requires you to open the bottom plate of the grip by removing two screws. You then drop out the motor. With the motor removed you will see two screws that you need to remove with a semi long phillips screw driver. Once those are removed, the whole grip will slide off. Reverse to install the new grip. (Make sure to set the motor back in properly) GL
Hmm seems cool, but point blank has a lot more force then once it's had to carve through the air several feet. still debating on what m4 to get as my first serious rifle. So far i have a g36c, but it's a entry level plastic one. ready to go from 300ish fps to 400ish fps, and realistic weight. I enjoy that silencer tho. Most m4's with silencers look like an odd extended barrel that is likely to snap should u bump a wall with it. This one is close to the foregrip n looks good.
@MLIPHANTOM22 airsoftgi. com and yes it will fit an M4. That's exactly why I picked that one for my M4. It's a solid aluminum piece rather than hollow aluminum tubing. Also the paint is very strong and won't scuff easily. It fits any gun with a 14mm reversed threaded tip and at least a 3 inch barrel protruding from the hand guard. The point where it screws in to the mock suppressor is actually in the center. I haven't played with this stuff in a while. Your lucky I still remember =p play safe!
@mrpandapwns well if you want more rails on the gun for attachments then this one is nice. From what I remember, people liked the M4 if they were to do CQB or if they just wanted something more maneuverable around corners. The M16 is a few inches longer which could make turning corners not as easy. However, if you get a nice tight bore barrel in the M16, you could get some very nice accuracy. That is not to say you can't do that with an M4. For me it came down to looks. Good luck!
if your looking to buy an AEG i would defintitaly recommend this gun. its a great gun and personaly i use it. The problem is that you should get a 9.6v battery. and for those i recommend nun-chuck batteries.
I've found that the grip silencer red dot is a great combo! I got it on my gun. Check out my video! i also got a sniper setup which is nice since the gun is kinda hot for indoors.
@HecTiCxChRoME some models come with the plastic tip which is glued. ppl have said to dip it in hot water then twist off after the glue softens. the ones that are screwed on are metal and you will need to remove a grub screw with a 1.5mm allen wrench/hex key. After that is off, twist the tip clockwise to loosen. It is a reverse threaded 14mm tip.
@modernsniper95 I got it from Airsoft Extreme (AEX) which has a website but is a local store in santa clara, ca. It cost $30 I think and it's by UTG if I recall correctly.
@anilsenturk you can't buy it without the tip if your state requires one. I just took it off. I use to put the orange tip back on if I ever took it outside. It is okay to not have the orange tip if you are playing on designated fields so people don't spot you waving around a bright orange flash hider.

@ExcelxJokster The mock suppressor was about $40. Nice hefty scratch resistant piece made of solid aluminum. Gave the gun a good weight but after I got the full metal M4 it just got ridiculously heavy. O how I miss having these things to just shoot around in the backyard...
@UATairsoftteam Nope, it has to be compatible with the gun. That is where the motor is housed. The gun won't fire if the motor is not mounted correctly. The grip also tightens down to the gearbox so not any pistol grip will work.
@XxXscorpionXninjaXxx nope I sold both my M4's long ago. I guess it is worth it if you get one for $150-160 range. I would probably follow the advice that others have given me in the past and spend a little more on something more reliable like a kwa or a g&g. However, I have a friend who is really in to CQB now and his kwa m4 broke down. It all depends on your budget and how well you care for the guns I guess. Don't dry fire them repeatedly, etc. and you should be fine.
@FreemanLambda well there were no internal gearbox mods. Everything is basic (tightbore, hop up bucking) or just for looks and convenience of use. Internals are a pain to mess with.
i have this gun and it been awesome but the hop up screwed up, i fixed it, but now the fps is down cause it wont go thru the bottom of the can and im not sure why... someone pease tell me why thanks!!
@weyder3ify well there are a few reasons why fps could go down. 1) the spring may settle over time. 2) Air leak somewhere. 3) Your hop up bucking is all stretched now from twisting and taking it on and off so now the lip doesn't form around the bb as well. Get a new bucking ($5-10) and see if it helps.
I used to have one of these, upgraded ridiculously to 32 rps at 450 fps. Sold it and bought myself a magpul pts masada, which I intend on upgrading as well. Got a question, why the M16 length barrel? Past an M4 length barrel adding that amount of barrel length will have no noticeable effects. And fyi for next time I believe the coke can chrono is to be 5 inches away from the bottom of the can in order for it to REALLY clock in around 400 fps, and even that is ghetto as all cans are different.

The reason I put the M16 barrel in there was because I also bought a M16 which I sold shortly after receiving it. However, I also ordered a tightbore barrel for it when I got it so thought, might as well...it was a prometheus which was like $60 and I knew if I sold it I wouldn't get that back. Groupings were nice. However, I wouldn't know the diff. between the M4 & M16 barrel of the same brand.

I hate when people comment on airsoft videos just to rant about airsoft, and talk about the real military. I know alot of guys who play airsoft who WHERE in the military, maybe some of us don't find getting bullets picked out of our shattered arms as fun as harmless plastic bbs.
@strapko100 well I don't think you'll find the older models like this anymore. The newer ones might be quite different. I can speak for the 2010 JG M4 s system as I bought one and it broke after a few uses. The spring they put in there is too strong for some of the cheaper components in the gearbox to handle. I also had a Dboys 2008 M16 SPR. It was pretty much the same deal with a longer barrel. However, I didn't like the quality of the dboys hop up system. No knowledge of '10-'11 models =/
i'm a little confused....so that's not a real gun?....can it be converted to fire live rounds...i want to know cause i'm in a country where gun control is pretty strict, but i'd like one...so i just was wondering.

@Simm2Dimm like SurfSkate26 says it's not capable of firing live rounds. It is an AEG (Automatic Electric Gun) If your country sells airsoft guns then I'm sure you can find what you're looking for. Some Countries have FPS limits on how powerful the gun can be but that's it i think.

@AssassinSkills replacing the grip only requires that you cake out the motor, not the gearbox. Just open the cover on the bottom of the grip which is held in by 2 small phillips screws. The motor should spring out a little bit as soon as you do this. Next, remove the motor by disconnecting the +/- terminals and sliding the motor out. You will then see 2 more phillips screws which actually hold the grip to the gearbox. Just remember where things go and you'll be fine.

@WhiteWingedKnight Hi, you don't "need" the riser mount in order to mount the red/green dot scope. However, I couldn't line up my sight through the scope with a mask on so I had to get the riser mount to elevate the scope. To me...it looks cooler haha. When I had the scope just on the gun it would look like a tiny little thing sitting along the top rail.
@aaronyuen85, Ah I see, I have to agree that having the riser seems to look much better. At least what I can picture in my head. How much did you spend on the whole setup? Gun, scope, grip, etc, etc.
@WhiteWingedKnight I would have to say too much. Hard to remember since I don't have any of the stuff anymore. The gun was about $165 scope was $40. The flashlight $25 foregrip maybe $20. Mock suppressor $40. Riser mount was $30 or something. I also had extra mags and a sling. let's just say everything I have for it comes to an excess of $275-300.

I currently have a Double Eagle M85, I'm not that big into airsoft, I just use it to plinker around . Yeah I know its a cheapo china gun, but its good enough for me.

I was able to pick off man sized targets from over 150ft away vs the standard max effective range. Groupings were nice and tight. I think I spent my money relatively conservatively. Everything I put on it had a use. Anything is fine if you just want to plink =)
hey im just getting into airsoft but i would like to extend my m4's barrel with a silencer. but they are extremely expensive. do you know any cheap ones that are just for show
@Joegreenfrog how's it going? They are all pretty much just for show unless you use it to cover up the inner barrel. They have some for $20-40 that you can work for the m4. Just look at any online site and search m4 mock suppressor or something like that. Some cheaper ones are hollow and also have cheaper paint jobs. The one I have is solid aluminum and has a powdercoat so its pretty good against scratches. I got it for about $40. JBU makes some basic ones too. Check around. Good luck.
i think your JG will eventually break down on u or fail you pretty hard =) those JG 145$ dollar ones sucks, any G&G or marui will smoke it out with under 300 FPS easy

hey man, my neighbor has the same gun. i Have a G&G R4 and i love it, also got a G&P CQB M4 and a Matrix M14. BTW dont let any of these lamos that leave those stupid comments keep you down. Airsoft is a great sport (as you prolly know) and its alot fun. Also, half of these people prolly dont even know what a tightbore is and or what it does =D
If I see a gun that can shoot through a water bottle at 5 feet at least I will be impressed. we tried a KWA M4 shooting 480 FPS with .25 BB's and had no luck not even a dent in the bottle.
@mikeanator55 haha heard this a million times by now. Check out the newer videos. It's still a sufficient test regardless because not all guns can go through the bottom of a can. Ex- My older JG MP5 ~350fps Enjoy
@mo4life123 I don't think you would want to use any of these rail accessories on a real M4. The fore grip is made of a very nice plastic but plastic none the less. Not sure how durable the real stuff is. The flash light...sure why not, it's on there pretty tight. The scope, maybe not. Only reason is that the recoil from a real gun may be too much for the airsoft/air rifle scopes to handle. However, some "real rifle" scopes are being sold for airsoft and air rifles too.
@XlopenX The accuracy is pretty decent. It can definitely hang with other guns twice its price. You can definitely spray a chest sized group of bb's at 100-120ft no prob. 120ft is of course the standard max range for accuracy before bb's start to drop off. It is pretty dang reliable as far as I can remember. The only problem is when I opened up the gearbox to tinker with parts and maybe mixed up some shims. It would jam once in a while do to this but nothing horrible. Good gun out of the box!
@XMrAirsoftBoii69X twist clockwise to loosen. If you have the plastic tip, it may be glued. You will have to soak it in some hot water. I've never had one with an orange tip but this is what others have told me. Check it out.

This is my jg m4 s system. this pic is from a for sale ad on Evike.com....When I used it I had a dmr set up and it had leapers bi pod silencer, 6x24x50 red cross illuminated scope or the same scope you have. I also bought all new internals for accuracy and less sound. It is a very quiet gun which is rare in an AEG.

I hate when people comment on airsoft videos just to rant about airsoft, and talk about the real military. I know alot of guys who play airsoft who WHERE in the military, maybe some of us don't find getting bullets picked out of our shattered arms as fun as harmless plastic bbs.

@strapko100 well I don't think you'll find the older models like this anymore. The newer ones might be quite different. I can speak for the 2010 JG M4 s system as I bought one and it broke after a few uses. The spring they put in there is too strong for some of the cheaper components in the gearbox to handle. I also had a Dboys 2008 M16 SPR. It was pretty much the same deal with a longer barrel. However, I didn't like the quality of the dboys hop up system. No knowledge of '10-'11 models =/

@Simm2Dimm i think the barrel is too small to fire real rounds and the gun isnt strong enough to fire them. but it is a simulation of the real gun, just it shoots bbs

@Simm2Dimm like SurfSkate26 says it's not capable of firing live rounds. It is an AEG (Automatic Electric Gun) If your country sells airsoft guns then I'm sure you can find what you're looking for. Some Countries have FPS limits on how powerful the gun can be but that's it i think.

@AssassinSkills replacing the grip only requires that you cake out the motor, not the gearbox. Just open the cover on the bottom of the grip which is held in by 2 small phillips screws. The motor should spring out a little bit as soon as you do this. Next, remove the motor by disconnecting the +/- terminals and sliding the motor out. You will then see 2 more phillips screws which actually hold the grip to the gearbox. Just remember where things go and you'll be fine.

@WhiteWingedKnight Hi, you don't "need" the riser mount in order to mount the red/green dot scope. However, I couldn't line up my sight through the scope with a mask on so I had to get the riser mount to elevate the scope. To me...it looks cooler haha. When I had the scope just on the gun it would look like a tiny little thing sitting along the top rail.

@WhiteWingedKnight I would have to say too much. Hard to remember since I don't have any of the stuff anymore. The gun was about $165 scope was $40. The flashlight $25 foregrip maybe $20. Mock suppressor $40. Riser mount was $30 or something. I also had extra mags and a sling. let's just say everything I have for it comes to an excess of $275-300.

I currently have a Double Eagle M85, I'm not that big into airsoft, I just use it to plinker around . Yeah I know its a cheapo china gun, but its good enough for me.

@WhiteWingedKnight Hmm...well I would say I had lots of fun with it. The more meaningful performance mods were worth it. I was able to pick off man sized targets from over 150ft away vs the standard max effective range. Groupings were nice and tight. I think I spent my money relatively conservatively. Everything I put on it had a use. Anything is fine if you just want to plink =)

@Joegreenfrog how's it going? They are all pretty much just for show unless you use it to cover up the inner barrel. They have some for $20-40 that you can work for the m4. Just look at any online site and search m4 mock suppressor or something like that. Some cheaper ones are hollow and also have cheaper paint jobs. The one I have is solid aluminum and has a powdercoat so its pretty good against scratches. I got it for about $40. JBU makes some basic ones too. Check around. Good luck.

If I see a gun that can shoot through a water bottle at 5 feet at least I will be impressed. we tried a KWA M4 shooting 480 FPS with .25 BB's and had no luck not even a dent in the bottle.

@mo4life123 I don't think you would want to use any of these rail accessories on a real M4. The fore grip is made of a very nice plastic but plastic none the less. Not sure how durable the real stuff is. The flash light...sure why not, it's on there pretty tight. The scope, maybe not. Only reason is that the recoil from a real gun may be too much for the airsoft/air rifle scopes to handle. However, some "real rifle" scopes are being sold for airsoft and air rifles too.

@XlopenX The accuracy is pretty decent. It can definitely hang with other guns twice its price. You can definitely spray a chest sized group of bb's at 100-120ft no prob. 120ft is of course the standard max range for accuracy before bb's start to drop off. It is pretty dang reliable as far as I can remember. The only problem is when I opened up the gearbox to tinker with parts and maybe mixed up some shims. It would jam once in a while do to this but nothing horrible. Good gun out of the box!

@XMrAirsoftBoii69X twist clockwise to loosen. If you have the plastic tip, it may be glued. You will have to soak it in some hot water. I've never had one with an orange tip but this is what others have told me. Check it out.

This is my jg m4 s system. this pic is from a for sale ad on Evike.com....When I used it I had a dmr set up and it had leapers bi pod silencer, 6x24x50 red cross illuminated scope or the same scope you have. I also bought all new internals for accuracy and less sound. It is a very quiet gun which is rare in an AEG.
