  • Hey,good job !! I bet if you could devote a room to them they would love it. Thats great that you are saving them from being destroyed. Some people dont relize how smart they are and dont want to give them a chance at life.We have people that do the same thing to reptiles over here. Thanks a lot for the video, sub you.

  • @bigboy3293 thanks man, I have a surprise.. we found many baby Nile monitor lizards on the bank of our river, they are as tiny as my middle finger, they are awesome, there is no hustle with them, they are calm and do not strike or attack. so we have about 60 new ones on the farm, and one more surprise, we build them a enclosure, I will soon make videos on the small ones and on the enclosure, cheers

  • @GianRobberts01 I am glad you built a place for them. Monitors are pretty smart, and I have been able to teach some of my monitors their names,if you want you can check it out my channel. You might have to start a chicken farm with all them lizards.LOL Hope you have fun with them.

  • @GianRobberts01 I hope evreything works out just the way you want it to! queshtion...i recantley got a nile monitor about 2 weeks ago and he has not bin eating...i tryed ofring him a goldfish crickets and a pinky mice wouldent evan foucs on them. none of them.. i just changed his habitat so i hope now that he will start eating.. any ideas? he is also constaly watching me like right now every time i take my eye off him he will make a move:P check out my setup video if youd like.

  • @TheCAZA1 Hey, your lizard watching you all the time is a indicator that he is in constant fight or flight mode, not relaxing, thus he can either not be eating because he is under stress and do not want to put weight on for in case he has to fight or flight. so check his habitat, does he have enough hiding space, private space where he is alone, also for not eating - do you have all three required lights in - one UVB and two UVA (this must be a basking light and daylight).

  • @TheCAZA1 sorry I cant watch your video now, Farm internet here is bad, will watch it later!! so the habitat must have a cool area and a hot erea, also if the lizard can see you move the whole time he will be under stress, so place the lizards habitat where he can only see you when you interact with him, till he gets more comfortable and he can be all around you with out stress, I had a lizard that did this, I had to leave the room and come back hours later and then I would see he ate.

  • @GianRobberts01 thanks man hes bin eating i figured it all out i feel like hes a happy little guy now so evreything is better with him:)

  • Love what you do! And the fact that you're not them guys that actually catch them from wild and dont even care for them then just throw then out so I respect u for this! Let me know how your babies get on or do a newer video of them!

  • No ofense intended but you should never remove these animals from the wild it depleats their numbers their are plenty of farm an captive rasied babysitter for sale. Their amazing monitors good luck with em

  • @gatorpython we had to remove them because we humans have destroyed their habitat, thus they are getting more and more in their limited habitat and becoming over populates because the human did not conciser their existence when the land was took from them and they were left to just die, so we take them in and care for them or the next farmer who's chickens they eat will kill them, till we have an EMS that will care for all life equally and when we can give land back to them, this is necessary.

  • in that case good job hope they calm down for ya niles are tricky even for monitors! haha
