@PapoBoom413 give it a couple days and if it doesn't clear up there are some products you can buy to make the water crystal clear. but most likely it needs time to settle down, my tank did the same thing
hello. i was wondering if you could help me out since im new to saltwater tanks, I am in the process of creating a Nano Reef in a 10 gallon tank and was wondering if you have any suggestions for what i should purchase for optimal results
im buying an aqeon 29 gallon duluxe tank setup, it comes with a filter heater tank , flourescent light and hood, and other nescasary parts...i was wondering if i could use the hang on the back filter and have a saltwatere aquarium with no corals or any thing just live sand and fake decor..
In a marine tank you shouldn't use a biological philter. Because in this way you'll grow too much nitrifying bacteria. The tank will became quickly full of ammonia. That is toxic for corals. You must use instead an efficient skimmer and a lot of live rocks (1 kg for 5 liters of water). Finally you must change 10% of tank water weekly.
I'm just a casual reader and could not help but notice AaronProductions comments. I normally don't comment other's arguments as there are many on You Tube. However, I can't help but comment on his/her's stupidity. Perhaps you are dyslexic or just mildly retarded. But you obviously didn't read the other person's comments before cutting them down with your own. I think perhaps you just allow your own ignorance to cloud your ability to actually read and properly process another's opinions.
these guys are all liars unless your doing a reef tank. I have ten saltwater fish, a skimmer, live rock, a heater and hydrometer,a dead zone (monnacco style) and caulerpa i dont even have a filter on my 125gallon tank i clean it once a year add a little water once every two months
thts a bit too much, dont u think? unless u dont have a gud protein skimmer, the usual is 20% water change a week. if u do have a gud protein skimmer, then the water changes could even go to once a month. it is not gud to overdo water changes in a saltwater tank. and it also depends on the amount of liverock you have.
It's called having amazing 250 watt metal halide lights that cause evaporation. My skimmer is fine. Nano tanks need wc's one a week. Above 30 or 40 gallons needs at least 1 a month. Do some research homie. Also learn how to spell "good"
so you think i spelled good as "gud" because i didn't know how to? also, i don't need to research when i work at an aquarium store. i do apologize for mistaking adding water to water changes. adding water is different, you might have to add water once a week, but 4 times a day is just plain exaggeration
No not really, and you no what everyone on every forum would say? DONT LISTEN TO THE FISH STORE!!! You tell people stuff so they will buy it and you can make a pay check. I top my tank off about a gallon a day which adds up to me topping it off 4 days
that is true about people who work at the highly business petstores. our shop is a place which was started out of pure passion to the hobby. and you can see the difference in care if u visit our shop one day. our fish dont starve and die like they do at petsmart or petco. we keep them as our own fish. everything is just not business buddy. and let me break you a secret, dont trust everyone on the forum either. any idiot can say anything on there like i have seen even on this page.
Yes but as I'm sure you know, there is not a big market for sw fish. Also when you guys lose a fish, you lose money. Those chain stores don't. You guys keep all your fish healthy and then tell people it's all good to sale it.
we dont say its all good just to sell a fish. we never talk much to any of our customers(as in talk them into buying something) unless they have questions. we let them chose. we do ask tehm wat kin of set up they have since we dont want to sell any tangs to someone with a 20 gallon tank. i'm not boasting but we rarely have any dead fish, and those are usually DOA
but you also said you don't ask what kind of tank they have... so if they have a 10g and you didn't know it, congratulations for comiting animal cruelty
hmm, i myself dont trust many of the fish stores out there. all i can do is know what i am doing and i'm sure you know what you are doing. as long as the buyers know what they should do, it doesnt matter how bad the store sucks :P
i want to convert to a marine reef tank with corals not a f.o.w.l.r tank. i have a 110 ltr tank and im going to buy a protein skimmer, 3000ltr/h wave maker and 1 white 40w T5 tube light and 1 blue T5 tube. do you think that and some live rock would be ok for filtering a tank with 3-4 fish in?..
no, but it could be a frag tank when you start in reef tank always buy the biggest and best stuff no cheap crap you will end up buying better stuff for a 3 gallon no fish maybe 2 small corals 1 small peice of live rock a few hermit crabs and a shrimp it would be ok for a frag tho. but theres no point without a main...
it a tank from tetra and the name is "water wonders" i took off the led light and add a coral life hood it is a mini hood and i used a glass cover so the lamp dont fall in i use computer fans to cool the water and i use a mini filter that u use for frog tank and i use a heater that is 25w and i also use a gfci outlet so if any thing happen it will shut off the power
I'm planning on also doing marine biology. I love fish : ). im still in highschool but i was wondering if you can live comfertably off of a marine biology degree. can you email me or reply back please!

Regarding White spot on fish…what I know it’s coming from temperature and also when the fish will scare. Is that right??!!
My aquarium temperature is 25. 26. 27. Digress. I kept schemers and UB light and heating temperature also chiller.
I need your experience and guiding.
All the best to you.
Many thanks.
