  • my dad says you don't need to cut the battery. is this true?

  • @CoolDudeClem my version is 6.39 CAN I STILL DOWNGRADE IT TO 3.90? PLS RESPOND

  • ok you going to have to hlpe me downlode the psp grader cuz i can plz help

  • I almost want to do this to mine but I don't feel like having a brick for a PSP. Also what can you do with your custom firmware? I'd like to be able to go onto the internet and have a full browser with java and flash so I can watch your vids on the go. And no more "not enough memory" errors.

  • does this work for the psp go's?

  • Check the "Format Memory Stick" it works better

  • will ur psp still b able to charge?

  • @rockgod2121 I've had no problem in charging, but if you're worried it might not work it might just be better to buy the special battery, there not expensive, something lke 4.99 last time I checked.

  • my psp won`t charge

  • Comment removed

  • how do i open the batery

  • you talk to much man

  • Worked thanks!

  • damnit i dont get this!ur pc or laptop is like 1000s years old!

  • @T3xt11 It's windows XP, just with the extra features disabled to make it run faster.

  • GUYS IF IT SAYS ACCESS TO C:/ Blah Blah is denied RUN PSP GRADER AS ADMIN

  • Ok after i've calmed down cause i actually installed a custom firmware... so 5.00 is the latest and best to use for games? cause i've seen my friend had some shit apps to switch between the versions.

  • I FKING LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOD!!! watched this tut for over 20 times and tried to do it for months.. now i realise how to actually boot it and hold LEFT not right button.. FKING FINALLY TY SO MUCH!

  • shit!!! my friend instaled custom firmware 2 years ago on my god of war red psp on version 5.00 but Ive been upgrating it till now to 6.20, but I'm not sure if I still have custom firmware on my psp, how do I know if I still have it? or does it just stayes there?

  • what website is he on?

  • cut open a battery?.. WTF..

  • man you was nervous!

  • I always worry I'm going to do something that totally screws it all up, even though I know what I'm doing.

  • @CoolDudeClem

    does it still work?

  • @CoolDudeClem

erm mine is 6. sth so does it still work?

  • doesnt work on psp 3000

  • tesco value!!!!

  • FUCK OFF YOU WANKER

  • @CoolDudeClem agree

  • Canuck fag.

  • well after i downloaded and made an ISO folder on my psp and drag it to iso folder and i checked my psp on memory stick, there were no game there.

    so what to do?

  • if i download a game (wwe smackdwon vs raw 2010) can i just download the custom firmware without using "service battery" or panda battery and then it should work? or ?

  • The game should probably work without having to install custom firmware. the only reason I installed custom firmware on mine is is so I could use the fusa plugin with makes game appear full screen when it's connected to a TV.

  • well u said the would work without installing the custom firmware. but when i put the game on ISO folder and check it on my PSP it says there is no game.

    any suggestion?

  • Why are your hands so shaky and your voice also?

  • dude, can u do it properly?? otherwise my psp will be corrupted d system...

  • can I use this files and everything whit a fat psp?? y made my pandora battery with my psp fat.. but when i try to boot the menu for instal the firmware 3.90 it dont appear anything.. the screen is still black..

  • maybe you bricked your psp

  • thanks

  • why is there the grey line is there any other way to do this without this line and sorry when my english is bad i'm german

  • The whole installing custom firmware will not produce the grey line. There is something is wrong with the actual screen on my psp, it's not there when i connect it to my TV.

  • when i hold the shoulder button and put the battery my screen stays black

  • Dude your a fucking legend!! thank you soo much iv watched a million videos for this and none of them worked until i found yours. Great tut 5 star

  • u broke ur psp hahahah the screen is black

  • Can i use a firmware thats higher then 3.90.

  • the best thing to do is get the 390 and update it

  • I wish I had the guts to make a service battery *goes to codejunkies to buy one*.

    No need it seems ^^

  • That's probably for the best, i was very nervous about hacking the battery myself.

  • ur hands were shaking like crazy during the video

  • i used your link to get the 3.90 firmware but when i clicked on it it just came up with the page couldnt be found so i used a differant website and made a pandora stick then when i finally made the pandora battery the memory stick didnt work when i tried to put the battery incan i just use 4.00 firmware on the memory card or higher and once you upgrade the battery can you still use it or do you need a new battery. thx

  • if i click on 3,90 i got noting page not found

  • The page may be down, I'd try again later and see if it loads.

  • mine is the phat psp and it say acess denied when i put create pandora stick can you help me please?

  • I should have mentioned that this is only for the PSP slim and the PSP 2000, but there's probably some other YouTube videos about how to do it with the phat version.

  • yes i found another vid alredy thanks anyway

  • wat if i have the phat psp

  • Hey, looks like you did this on the PSP slim. Can you do it one the thick too? Will the battery look the same inside and will it also have a m19 wire?

  • one - on, sorry. Look what I realy want to do is run an iso/cso game I downloaded call Yu-Gi-Oh GX tagforce 3. Installing this costum firmware will help won't it?

  • yea, u can only use emulators or cso/iso's on cfw

  • if you bought a psp with one of the new motherboards, is it pandorable?

i cut the wire that you showed but the light still doesnt turn green. it just botts normally

  • dude your voice is awsome

    no sarcasm

  • Hi i got the green light but my psp wont turn on dose anyone know why??

  • theres a big white glue on my 19 :(

  • wraaah why i nobody showning how to download lower firmware then you got

i got 5.51 and i wnat to knw how to install lower ones

  • and another thing, the only time i am using my home made pandora battery will be during making gameplay videos of my psp games otherwise i can just switcch back to my battery that i usually use correct? along with switching back to my other memory stick? please get back to me :D

  • i don't want to mess with my current battery and memroy stick, so would it be ok if i just use the battery/memory stick that came with the psp. all i want to do is make gameplay videos using remotejoy no other downloads. do u think the 32 mb is enough to hold all this stuff u did to it along with download remotejoy to it? this is the first tutorial on this i understood thanks a lot dude!

  • I think at least 512mb is needed for what I did, but if you're going to do gameplay videos with remotejoy, 32mb would prpbably be enough. I think using the normal battery would work with remotejoy, the only time you really need to use a pandora battery is when updating the firmware.

  • thanks for the feedback, and i subbed :D

  • Question:

By modifying the battery and turning in to a "pandora battery", can you still use it as normal or it becomes just a tool to install the custom firmware and you actually need a new, clean one to use the psp normally?

Apart from this the video was extremely explicative, nice one :D

  • I'm able to use my PSP with the modified battery. After using it to install the firmware, it can be used as a normal battery with no de-modification needed.

  • Thanks for the clarification, appreciated :D

  • you can if you put the pen back i beleave

  • I recently flashed my PSP Slim using the same battery hacking technique, but I used Universal Pandora + Downgrader Installer (It's on rapidshare if you google it), I did not need to upgrade or downgrade the firmware on the PSP, all I needed to do is follow the steps, but It only downgraded it to 3.71 M33. but it runs all my ISOs! I needed to go into recovery mode (press power switch and then R) to change it from UMD mode to the hacked driver for running ISOs and it was perfect! nice video man!
