It shouldnt matter how her hair looks or what color it is if she wanted to do it let her do it.everyone should be glad she wasnt on the news for something more serious . at the end of the day shes going too school learning shes not having babies or robbing and killing someone so whats the problem? I don't agree that she should have been taken out of class due to that hair style but her mother was ignorant for sending her to school that way. Who is she kidding when she says she doesn't send her child to school to make a fashion statement? Why else would a parent allow their 10yr old child to wear that style if not to make a statement? Thanks for sharing the story, but I disagree with you. I don't think the little girl should have been restricted from wearing that hairstyle. She was not asking to be half naked, were outlandish clothes, or extreme tattoos. She wanted a hairstyle. To kick a kid out of a class because of the institutions inability to control the environment is not acceptable. From the looks of it, it was a public school with no written restrictions on hair. They violated this child, and that's not right.

@theright1ne I understand why they did it but you have to think about whats appropiate for that age group. Elementary school kids are going to point and laugh anytime shes in the vicinity. Not even necessarily making fun of her but staring at it, wanting to touch it etc. It would be like if a high school girl came to school in an outfit that barely meets the standards but is so overtly sexual as to cause a distraction everywhere she goes.
