  • I don't care for whatever religion you people are talking about, Marc's voice is great! And I hope Queen hires him :) P.S Fuck all of you Queen haters ;P

  • Big Mistake Singing in a Sinners Band like Queer Queen I hope you don't get side tracked from the Gospel of Christ ;(

    watch?v=DSOX8LTJdPk

  • @TubeSalvation Wasn't it the pharisees that accused Jesus of eating with prostitutes, liars, and sinners? What did he say? He said "I came not to call the righteous but the sinners." (Matthew 9:12-13) What Jesus himself did was to integrate with the lost (those who were despicable in their day) so they could see his light. Is it not possible that Marc could shine Jesus' light and impact those needing him? If we stand at a distance and accuse those that are lost, how will that help them find God?

  • @Icvolt so they can have harmonies :) (could be wrong as I've only listened to this song)

  • :D i love this

  • Check out my page :D i need more friends :)

  • Marc the road your now taking is not the right one.......

  • @slushomatic

I fully agree Riches and Bad apples will steal His Joy and Love for God !

  • I love this song and video. The girl riding on a bike reminds me of me....of my childhood riding almost that same bike, having the same kind of moment questioning my faith....

I can watch and listen to this song/video over and over again...thank you for this.

  • beautiful God

  • i dont get it, why are there 2 lead vocalists in this band, if you alredy have a great one, why have he piano guy sing too? is like having 2 different bands, the martels songs are so diferent from the rest.

  • Freddie Mercury is proud :D

  • I heard this song for the first time on the way to work this morning and was thrilled to find it on Youtube. Thank you, Canada, for continuing to produce such great musical talent!

  • Don't care for any particular religious inclination, but this is beautiful human talent. Simply amazing and inspiring. All the best!

  • ehh i don't like Christian Rock very much since i'm Atheist but i have to say that coming as a musician that they have a great sound. oh and Marc Martel good luck with Queen best of luck

  • Love this song! Marc really shines with his powerful vocal performance.

  • Ok ....Where is Black metal ?

  • Power

  • this is so annointed....

  • é um dos melhores cds deles.....amo essa banda..!...DEUS continue abnçoando vcs!!

  • I loved it ! Sometimes I cry because it goes back to my life and that sometimes I don't get the whole church thing and that also can relate back to what my step dad is going threw to

  • i am coming back home

  • I don't care if it's Jesus, Ala, Buda or the Devil. All I know is that this is a F.....

    GREAT song!!!

  • Christian Queen!!!

  • hearing it the first time... is this some kind of crazy christ jesuscamp shit? I get here by marc matel and his great voice... I hope he is no religious nerd ~

  • @Hubieee dude can sing so what if he is a religious nerd?

  • Marc - well done on the Queen audition! I hope this will bring more fans to Downhere. You have a real gift. Please use it to break down the walls of intolerance.

  • Great tune, Great lyrics, good music, good band.

  • Can't get enough of this song. Beautiful words, beautiful voices. Glory be to God for such talent. I just focus on the words especially because that's what I want for my life.

  • It's official. I am in love with Downhere(=

  • WHAT A F..... GREAT SONG!!!!

  • Love it, powerful lyrics!!!

  • Okay, I just read the comments - you guys gotta make peace. In my world it is normal for people of differing beliefs to get along. I married my husband because he's a Christian. He knows I'm different and we get along as well as any two people can.

  • My personal update. 1) My son, 12, went to Christian camp this summer. He felt God's presence. 2) I haven't heard anything compelling at church in 15 years. But in August I heard a Christian friend give a speech; the first meaningful thing I've heard said by a Christian since I became an atheist at 17. 3) I learned of Downhere through Marc's STL audition and began listening to it. It's like three strikes I'm in.

Say what you will, these guys have something genuine. Lots to think about.

  • Haters are going to hate, people are going to mess up and fall short, but God is always going to love

  • Well as an athiest, I really like their music but I perfer Collective Soul, not as much in your face christian music as Downhere. All I can say is if Downhere wants to reach a wider audience then they have to follow the route of Collective Soul and tone it down and concentrate on a softer message. And its not selling out its the music business.

  • @unrauv

Yeah, if they get rid of the gay, whiney, Christian lyrics, they may sell a few albums.

  • This is the gayest song I've ever heard. Christians are so weak!

  • @truthisbest Fuck you Troll!!!

  • @lakewood85

    How Christian of you! :)

  • Je pensais que Daniel Bélanger jouait au piano lol . Good Luck Marc, Quebec pround of you like the rest of the world, and it's very kool you got 2 quebecois to play with ya in queen advanture. Dominique from Montreal !

  • WOW beautiful song. I'm proud to be christian! What joy I have inside! I thank God for songs like this

  • I WAS NOT INFERRING MARC IS GAY I WAS REFERRING TO A COMMENT ABOUT FREDDY MERCURY. ELTON JOHN IS GAY AS WELL AND HIS MUSIC IS A BLESSING TO THIS GOD FORSAKEN WORLD AT TIME.THEIR ARE FAR GREATER SINS THAN BEING GAY. THAT GOD CAN FORGIVE...

  • BEING GAY IS NO MORE A SIN THAN ANY OTHER SIN SIN IS SIN AND WE ALL SIN MARC CAN ASSOCIATE HIMSELF WITH ANY THING HE DEEMS WORTHWHILE FOR WHAT EVER PURPOSE HE SEE AS CORRECT, HIS JUDGEMENT SHOULD NOT BE QUESTIONED HE HAS SHOWN HE HAS GODS GRACE.

  • Sounds great !!!!!!

  • Thank you for sharing your heart through music! You have blessed me so.

  • @truthisbest Awe. Daddy issues? It's okay Simba. It's okay. Now run along and listen to some Korn. They're the go-to kids for stuff like that.

  • @NellaTorre

And this is the "go-to" music for people lacking balls.

  • @truthisbest OOOh. Very witty. Those Korn lyrics or Good Charlotte lyrics? Cant tell the whiny difference. Just so you understand, it takes a lot of balls for a man to admit he believes in a higher power and openly at that, especially knowing he'd get backlash from piss-ants like you. I just don't understand how you came across this video.

  • @NellaTorre

Awwwwe!!! I must have hurt your wittle bitty feewings! Sorry about that.

  • wow - it made me cry! that was truly beautiful. I love the lyrics too!

"Of all the mysteries still the greatest to me is that your faithful when i fall"

  • I love the opening piano playing in this. So beautiful.

Downhere, thank you for writing this song. It is so powerful, timeless, and challenges me to rediscover the Lord every day. This has become my life song.

  • Super beautiful and cool!

  • i also want to add that i think this guy has an amazing voice. i don't think anyone would disagree with me.

  • @isaacS2010 why would you separate christ-honoring and cool as if they are not 100% meant to go together? i think gacoustic's point is that christian music is not where the world looks for creativity since it is generally some of the least creative music out there. if creativity comes from the creator, why aren't christians blowing people's minds in the arts??

  • @sr597runner

Christianity isn't cool. Never was and never will be.

  • so.... what do you think of freddie mercury being gay?

  • Hi freddie

  • @gacoustic - Hopefully Marc and the band will not bow to the pressures of people wanting "cool" music as a substitute for Christ-honoring music. This song is beautiful because it speaks to people who are tired of living their lives without His power, and want to come back to Jesus. Excellent track guys! Keep your music as a ministry and the Lord will continue to bless it.

  • Es sencillamente hermosa esta canción!!! ♥

muchaas bendiciones para esta banda... les deseo muchos éxitos. :D

  • Wow. What a journey. I heard about Marc this morning on KLOS. I ventured over to YouTube to see him perform a Queen song on Ellen. That took me to Bohemian Rhapsody and a revelation that Marc was part of Downhere which brought me here. Last week was one of the worst of my life. Praise God, this week and Downhere have set me toward a much better future. "Jesus, let me rediscover You." Thank you.

  • Hey,,, Can you guys get a picture to come up when I try to post this on facebook??? It comes up in a way that doesn't draw much interest from my friends. I would like them to be interested in hearing this song. Please?

  • @caz1231 Try copying and pasting the link after your FB comment. You should get a thumbnail.

  • I have just begun my journey back to Christ. This is my anthem!!!!!!!!

  • @ChesterCorgi96 That's just awesome!

  • I love this song so much!!!!

  • two peoples not discovered jesus yet. and God almighty too

  • I love this song! It reminds us of how infinite and amazing God is. He is an amazing, powerful, and infinite God!!

  • Thank you very much for this song.

    God bless you all.

  • man.. why are you singing with those guys? Brian may and roger are waiting for you... and every single queen's fan too.. you're not frddie that's for sure, but I want you in QUEEN...

  • @mimikingtooth I'm sure that, for Him... Praise his Savior is WAAAY much important!

Just listen to the lyrics friend! And no need to argue...

He is singing with this guys because he wants to I guess... we do the things because we want to...

    cheers! :)

  • Beautiful song! Marc has such a clear voice, and all the members of Downhere are so talented.

  • i follow mar after the audittion of queen extravaganza too. I simply had become a fan! He is awesome but for queen vocalist he had to be more performatic in a stage! But the rest is really perfect!!!

  • what a voice ,,, if queen does not select him then they will be making a huge mistake.... he looks so much the freddie did, in the eyes.. love the band and the music

  • Thank you for your christian messages. Continue to follow your mission.

  • ok your good but some of you people here need help if a song gets you closer to god but i will say i like your music

  • @jason85752000 Are you talking to me? Normally I only listen to classical music. Quite a musical snob, and I like Queen, but I must be the only fan of Marc Martel who thinks he has his own voice. I hear a similarity to FM, but Marc has softer, rounder overtones, a fuller voice. I like the Downhere sound, especially when the writers are stretching their musical muscles - sing-along songs are okay, but keep writing the musical music. It is truer to YOU.

  • @notekidds if you think this song gets you closer to god i was if you dont i wasnt talking about you it was a mass comment

  • I have never bought Christian music before - but now I'm listening to the two latest albums from downhere every day. My kids are going to school with this message in their ears.

  • @notekidds

    Hallelujah! That is exciting news!

I really believe Marc is going to win many over to Jesus Christ through his similarity to Freddie.....

    SOOOO EXCITING!!!!!!!!

  • @notekidds thats awesome :-)

  • Who wouldve imagined that Freddie Mercury is now singing in a Christian Band.

    THAT just made my day!!!!

    <3

  • Really good song. A prayer for our nation as we continue to elect leaders to office - hopefully leaders, who like most of our forefathers, fear God and are not ashamed to base their political values on Truth.

  • I love Freddie but the talent in this band just blows me away.

  • Better than Freddie.... agree!!!

  • What a joy! What a blessing! I could listen to this over and over...oh, that's right-I just did!

  • and for the record, this guy is actually better than Freddie. And I LOVE Freddie.

  • amazing AMAZING. My aversion to Christian music has been altered. The whole CD is great.

  • His voice is so clear and full... Downhere is pretty luck to have Freddie Mercury on their side!

  • Our local Christian radio station, WJIE, is auctioning off a guitar signed by all the members of Downhere. If you go to WJIE.org, you can see it.

  • When I first heard this song on the radio I about fell off my chair, my first thought was "did Freddie Mercury record this before he died?" Then I found out it wasn't him at all... thanks to Soundhound on my iPhone! GOD BLESS YOU DOWNHERE...!

  • This video gives me faith that Mr. Martel could actually pull off the Freddie Mercury gig.

  • Powerful!!

  • muito bonito este louvor

  • .... quelle belle chanson.... magnifique....

  • very humbling

  • Great music. Well done. Keep going.

  • Marc Martel has such an awesome voice.

  • Excelente!!! maravilloso.. una dulce voz para adorar a Dios..

  • Great song!

  • This would be a trendous "hit" if the lyrics were secular.

  • @gasdocrob It's the Christian lyrics that make the song so special.

  • This chorus is so catchy and his voice is so touching I almost cried!

  • Very good lyrics been seeking something like this

  • I want to know the depths of God.

  • amazing!

  • Just found this song last night and so loved it. Beautiful! Thanks Marc Martel!

  • I am for any music that makes PEOPLE look inside.

  • I cry every time I hear this song! It is my soul's cry. I am so grateful that there are still Christian artists who actually sing Christian songs! So many of them are going mainstream/borderline and getting away from what it is really about. It is NOT ok! It is about worship and praise to God/Jesus. That is the commitment of our lives as a Christian. You can only create so many songs about the down and out runaway! Pray for them! Don't sing about them! Sing to God. Dedicate you talent to him!

  • First of all, this singer is incredible, and the band as a whole sound great. I'm an ex-theist (now agnostic), and from that perspective my favourite lyric is "How can I say I know you / When what I know is still so small?" I would indeed love to "rediscover" God, but the uncertainty and vulnerability of that line is absent from most of the rest of the song because, let's face it, this is about Jesus (and yes... as I type that, he just spelt it out)

So I don't like this song, but Marc is great.

  • @MullinsTheRapper Nobody cares.

  • I was also averse to Christian music but because of Marc's audition, I've come to appreciate it. Love downhere. It's ironic and sweet how Freddie and Marc's destinies are entertwined. Freddie Mercury--who some uptight religious people would regard as living a sinful promiscuous life--his memory would be honored by a Christian man and vice versa. Freddie's legend has brought non-Christians here.

  • @breezy5610 SO well put!

  • This song is Awe-freaking-some.

  • Up til now have been completely put-off & avoidant of anything Christian or religious. Now having 2nd thoughts..unclean, ungodly, perhaps as well. You can rediscover me any time... ;)

  • I'm not religious but I like his singing. Also he is very nice-looking. I'm checking out some of his other songs after seeing the Queen audition.

  • I'm a singer as well and I believe I've found a new song for my list o' songs to learn.

  • I've watched this video about 10 times in the last 3 hours. What an amazing song! GREAT job!!!

  • These guys can sing, and God is glorified in their praise and worship!

  • I´ve been reading the coments ´cause it´s funny sometimes, and always there is a Brazilian saying something in portuguese, that makes me go to google translator everytime! whatever........good voice, good band!

  • beautiful song.

  • This video is proof that reincarnation is real. Welcome back Freddie! I hope Brian May (re)discovers you!

  • freddie?

  • if I pretend this is not a christian song... I really like it

  • @heavenlydonny That's really funny, I was doing exactly that when I read your comment.

  • @heavenlydonny

Ugh. Excuse me, but do you know how silly it sounds to make a distinction between "Christian" and so-called "normal" songs? Music is music, or to put it even better, art is art. When you listen to U2, does it bother you that Bono is a Christian? U2 may not write songs from a Biblical perspective, but if they did--so what?

How about movies? Would you consider Star Wars to be a Bhuddist movie? No?

You should; George Lucas is a Bhuddist.

See how insane that line of logic is?

  • @ThePoopcornMachine Well there actually is a difference. Some songs are not written as comercial songs but rather than prayers. Hillsong music is like that. When you go listen to Hillsong live you don't go to a concert but you go to worship the lord... And U2 do write music from a biblical perspective. Most their songs are taken from the bible but people don't even realise it because they know how to wrap it around to appeal to everyone. There even exists a U2 holly mass.

  • wow this is really good. i just want to hear you sing and not the other guy. Half the vids of downhere are the other dude singing and marc playing backup.

  • Great video guys! I hope you win the Queen audition, Marc! Great job!!!!

  • As a huge Queen fan, I have always been conflicted by Freddie's lifestyle versus his most amazing talent. A talent that surely came from GOD. Freddie did sing GOD's praises in many songs, and so I must believe that through his persona, he was a believer.

Anyway, Downhere is an amazing band and Marc's voice is truly a blessing. Another example of GOD's way of reminding us of what is really important. Amen.

  • I follow Marc here after his Queen audition, too. He is beautiful to look at, I mean it in a nice way. I also like the voice of the guy in the piano. Nice band.

  • his Queen audition sent me here!!!!- dude is incredible!!!

    amen

  • For all that wants to listen to more from Mark and his band:

    youtube.com/watch?v=3O0BfTOkGK8&feature=player_embedded#!

  • @eogextreme oops wrong page :D

  • What a beautiful voice.

  • This song gives me goosebumps! Praise you Jesus!

  • Maybe an angel called Feddie come to help you, thanks to that now I kow your songs.

  • Gracias Dios por un nuevo día, tú misericordia hoy se renueva en nuestras vidas amén.

  • Maravilhoso, um dos melhores trabalhos deles!!

  • Wow, another awesome video and song. I am in the season of my life where I am walking through the valley and God is allowing me once again, to rediscover his goodness and his mercy!!

  • As always, stunning - get over to the UK when you can, it's been too long!

  • huwaw...awesomeness..

  • Thanks for all the prayers for Claudia. Her surgery was a success and she seems to be doing fine now. Thanks to the band for a beautiful song, to Nate for an awesome video, and to God for all of the above. We look forward to seeing you play when ya'll come to Georgia. God bless!

  • I just love this song... and it echoes the prayer of my heart that I would know the God I thought I knew... because every time I think I'm beginning to know Him more... He shows me another aspect of Himself that reveals I very little I know. Awesome job, Downhere! I love your work.

  • The anointing of the Holy Spirit is with you guys and in His power this prayer made in this amazing song will change lifes!!!! God bless you and continue using you!!!!

  • Love it ;) not sure i've heard them before but they are awesome ;D

  • WOW! That is all...WOW!

  • VERY beautiful song! that's what we really need to rediscover who the Lord really is.

  • Clever idea of writting 2011 on the tree. An amazing complete work.

  • This is a great song, it hits home. I don't understand why Downhere isn't played on the radio more often. I'm tired of all the same Christian songs on the radio. Marc Martel is one of my favorite singers.

  • With every one of their songs, you can feel the yearning in them. These guys definitely have the hand of God on their work. I love praise and worship songs. They definitely have their place, but sometimes it's like that's all you hear anymore. These guys songs seem to reach inside and make you take a new look at yourself; and it's not always pretty.

  • thumbs up if ur just as excitedas i am for their album to come out aug 23

  • I love your song end feel like crying every time I hear this song.

"Reveal to me the god i thought i knew"

    I want it

  • You can really see the deep reflection in the lyrics. There is always more to Christ that we can imagine and always more weakness in us that we could imagine.

  • The singer for this band is one of the best singers I have ever heard, secular or Christian. This band is a phenom.

  • I love!!!

    amo vc downhere!!!

I am from Brazil, but i am fã number 1!!!

  • We have followed you for some time now. I got to see you guys at Fish-Fest in Fayetteville, TN Great concert. I agree this one has got to be on top. God bless you guys & Nikky & I hope to see you again real soon. Safe travels.

  • OM! I don't know how to explain waht this song means to me!

  • This video is so awesome..and so true..I love how the video starts out with a small child and the development of her life throughout the years. I can so relate with this as the girl who spiritually grows...Thank you...God Bless...
