Infact you may be interested to know the problem is not the poles on the dole, it is people coming down from the north and claiming it once a week. Since people in the north are regarded here as Irish citizens Irish taxpayers foot the bill. That is the problem that is trying to be addressed not other EU citizens on the dole.

First you get your stamps back based on the prsi contributions you have made. You get 204 Euro a week but how long you get that of course depends on the number of stamps you have built up.
Then you are assessed and get whatever you are entitled to with the dole. You do not infact go on the dole untill you have been paid all your stamps. I have been out of a job since Apirl but am not infact on the dole yet. I am living off my prsi contributions over the years.

A few nigerians got hauled off by the gaurds the other nite in the town.They were operating an illegal taxi service and were in receipt of social welfare and numerous other benifits.Cars were checked out, all had false NCT, tax and insurance certs.Also a girl was attacked in one of the illegal taxis, the guy wanted sex with her.She reported the crime to the gardai which led to the investigation.Just one of many incidents.

(1) when people are"welcomed" into a country but not given opportunity or the chance to assimilate the result is often crime. I am irish my friend and i have spent a lot of time in the UK (london).I was the victim of anti irish sentiment in london but i have to say one thing, a lot of black people are extremely racist in london.There is a serious chip on the shoulder mentality.I have lived in areas with large black populations and have withnessed a lot of trouble.Quite scary, believe me.
