When you buy a cathode light, they sometimes comes with a little square box. You plug the cathode into this box and then plug the box into your 4-pin power connector. Inside the box is a small speaker. When it hears the music, it will light the cathodes. You just have to set the sensetivity perfectly so that it will only be attracted to the bass. If you set it to too sensetive then all the noise that is going on in your computer (hard drives, fans, etc.) can light the cathodes.
