Maybe that should have been a penalty, but you have to give Sheppard credit more than you should be mad at the ref. He hid it well.  And there are far more serious reasons why the Pats lost. Keep in mind that the Jets barely ran any offense until after the half, which is when the Pats, not the Jets, usually accel.
