If that was so, the world's largest thracian treasure wouldn't have been discovered in Bulgaria. As Huskytail said, Thrace was spread over an area that now includes parts of bulgaria and greece.

lol... Xena is from Thrace which is where currently Bulgaria lies, so pretty much all the music in Xena comes from Bulgarian folklore.
