Very cool. If I remember right, the Rover bought the rights to the 3.5 V8 from Oldsmobile. So to some degree you have a little bit of Americana in your Mini.

@montey1017 Well....here on the dumb side of the Pond we still often use C.I.D. to denote engine displacement, so my "metric" is not the greatest. I believe 1 liter = about 61 CIDs. So 61 x 3.5 = 213.5 CID.

@Rural Towner Have a look on his website, it's an austin princess/1800 transmission that he's cleverly adapted! a rover v8 like that only puts out around 190bhp anyway, so it's only about twice the power the box was probably designed to handle.

ive just done a peugeot 306 with a gt40 400bhp v8 in the back vids in me profile nd theres more to come nd i noticed uv got the fuel tank basically 4 inch of ur radiator mines a very similar set up about a foot from the rad nd i had to put a heat sheild between the two nd i cant help thinkin ur sittin in a bomb does the fuel tank not get hot?
