I think it's impossible to be an artist (music, photography, film...) and not appreciate John's work. Sure people can argue day and night whether his voice is what they wanna hear or whether or not his "pop" era could be considered "selling out". At the end of the day, this guy takes what's in his heart and head and puts em down for the world to see and hear... I don't know how much true you can be to your art than that. I know that's what I aspire to be.

I am pretty sure that the piano track is original but look up miles davis' in a silent way because 1. it is a great song and 2. it sounds very similar to this piano track. also in vh1 storytellers mayer explained how the miles davis song influenced his song who says. phenomenal musician, one of the best of our time hands down. this video is real chill--i like it a lot
