  • Hi

Well my previous comment seems to have gone to the ether. Yes, that's my boat. So your rudders are ogive? Interesting. Have you looked at Tom Speer's sections?

Do you mind coming over to the yahoo group proa_file to chat about this?

    best

    Kevin

  • Hi,

Sorry Im not sure what happened to your last comment, it was there, but now its gone. Yes my rudders are ogive, the forward one is locked in a straight line to act as a daggerboard when sailing upwind.

I am not a member of the proafile group yet, but I will sign up to it later today.

  • Very nice!

Interesting rudder design. I'd like to see a video of the boat shunting shot from a few yards to windward. I'm planning to make such a video myself as soon as it's warmer around here.

  • Hi,

    Thanks for the comment.

I will try to get a decent video of the boat shunting as soon as I can. Shunting with a junk rig and ogive rudders is fairly quick and easy. Do you have the green schooner rigged proa?

    Thanks, James.
