Strange you did not like this one and that you think the 8 is better. That means we all have different taste. I tried a westy 8 this week and found it absolutely inferior to the 12. Did you visit the Struise this day?
I don't think I could do a beer review in that environment. Take a bottle home and sit in a quiet place. That would help you to think of the right words. With lots of background noise and activity it is a little harder.
As if the distractions at In de Vrede weren't enough, the beer itself is very hard (for me) to describe. Sort of wish it had been a cold and rainy night when tasting this for the first time - but sunny Belgium didn't suck. Thanks for commenting!
