This song is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! I love it soooooo much especially being a trumpeter as well! If I make it to the 2nd round of AGT I will most likely play this song!!!!

I love this, but i have to say the best version of this song I have witnessed was when Stevie Wonder played an instrumental version at Hyde Park in London last summer. I was nearly in tears, such emotion and atmosphere channeled into one song. Long live music!
I respect this, and this is like, my favorite song of all time, but I don't really dig the non suspended and simplifies notes. For being a jazz piece, it's not very swingin...
Santa came early this year. Got a copy of Miles Davis' "Electric", a collection of his fusion stuff from the late 1960s, 70s and 80s. This song is on the CD.
What a beautiful rendition! I like it better than the original.
Well I Ever Heard this while i'm watching the bulletin board from CSU Hayward around 1998 i think (along with another Miles Davis song Time After Time) hopefully these songs can popup someday on Local on the 8's on The Weather Channel.
Miles' redenition of this song exceptional to me. The trumpet has a velety sound. Soothing and yet powerful. From one visionary to another. Miles is Miles. R.I.P. to Miles and Michael.
@Tdclan Thanks, Tdclan, I didn't know that. I always heard the MJ version on the radio more often than Miles' version and this lead me believe that's Micheal's redention came first. Thanks again for enlightening me..Peace
@Tdclan Tdclan, I did the research. The song was recorded first by MJ for the LP Thriller, which was released in Nov. 83. Human Nature was released as a single in July 1984. George covered this song in 1984 on his LP "Steppin Out". Miles covered it in 1985 on his LP "You're Under Arrest". Many other artrist have covered this song including Boyz II men, SWV, Nas and Alicia Keys. Hope I was able to help.
@DaddySweet100 Please see this correction: Thriller was released in Nov. 1982. Human Nature was realeased as a single in July 1983. The 5th single released from the LP " Thriller".

michael jackson faced two allegations of child abuse - how many people do you know that have faced not one but two allegations of child abuse. Never gloss over that fact cause he had a hit record, that doesn't excuse anything!
i seriously found out this song was from thriller last night. The fact that miles played a michael Jackson song proves michael jackson was a visionary and a real musician and the media bullshit was created because Americans are more interested in the lives of "celebrities" than their talents, which is pathetic.
@oreojazz Actually this song belongs to TOTO Steve Porcaro I think , it was included in the Thriller Album because Michael´s producer, Quincy Jones, recieved a cassette from Steve in wich this song was played by TOTO. Quincy asked TOTO for the song and he included it in Thriller, replacing a song called Carrousel or Roullette I dont remember.
Anyway, Michael was PURE MUSIC GENIOUS , such as Miles and not so many others... the Media is simple shit , only tells lyes sent from above. PEACE
I love You Miles, I love You Michael, miss You forever

@jwalter62 uh, no way! Wynton Marsalis is a musical reactionary, Miles was a musical revolutionary. HUGE difference.

MJ was amazing but some credit to the members of Toto that actually wrote the main riff for Human Nature. Just a little known music fact for ya. :-)

@carrywet idk, I'd say Louis Armstrong is the godfather, Miles is the bad-ass prince of jazz.
