  • basically the floor and the background buildings is all video

the cars, ruby and the machine are being rendered by two 4870s. its like how films do special effects they record the scene then put in the effects later on, but in this case ur playing the effects controling it in real time.because the background is in video the two 4870s can just render the objects and characters in super high quality.

  • I don't know. there's a video out on how they made the demo. According the them its 100% 3d no pre-rendered.

  • here it is watch?v=Bz7AukqqaDQ

  • you are right, it is 100% real time rendering.

guess "das16thagoon" is using nvidia so he has to trash it.

  • 6 years after, once again ATI won the war by reconfiguring the rules, mainstream can play at high settings at any cyber cafe while the high end gets to play in 24" lcds and laugh but alone with 3 way gtx280 sli.

the new 9700 = stellar next gen performance for the masses About next gen stuff anything that CUDA supports like Photoshop, has already been accelerated by ATI, then add INTELs HAVOK licenced physics which out numbers nVIDIAs AGEIA game support 5 to 1 (150 vs 28 )

  • yeah but CUDA = retardedly fast

Also HAVOK engine sucks compared to PhysX. Compare the two, PhysX is much better, the only problem is you need a dedicated card (either the new GTX or the Ageia PhysX)

  • Actually, Ageia is nX faster because of Havok was a software engine, ageia used a driver level with hardware, the new havok will also used driver level code which can be accelerated not only by ATI but also by Intel´s 2009 Nehalem with MMX5. CUDA is always compared to quad cores only. CUDA its just a software layer api to ease thing, it doesnt add more perfomance than well written c++ engine which was the one used in the nvidia photoshop demo, no cuda was there, the code also used ati hardware.

  • Q onda jadw. buen video. ¿Cómo se va a llamar este juego? ¿Este futuro en cuantos años se espera que se haga realidad?

  • Sehr gut, very good, trés bien, muy bien, pero eso parece más película que videojuego, y aparte es una demostración demasiado corta
