Well, being as I'm the last one who flew the first Legal Minimum Aircraft ; the size & complexity of the paperwork needed to play with modern "Ultralights" totally justifies my move to R/C, & Windmills, & Boomerangs...! Search '1975 8Hp Skycraft Scout' & 'V.J.-24w SUNFUN', to see what I used to levitate in... 'Autodidactic Test Flying' is interesting, & y' may like 'Aerotowing Rogallos'.. too ? Ciao !

Another nice vid and, yes, I certainly don't mind seeing the full-size aircraft featured in between the great vids of the r/c flights... I'll have to read up on the A22 for it looks like it would be a fun one to fly (take-off roll seems to be next to nothing!). Interesting spring arrangement on the nose gear! The touch-and-go by the Diamond Twin Star (DA-42) was a nice capture, as well. Curious: How long is the runway here?
I think it's fantastic, this mix of full-size and rc models - wish I could pop by, however at 18,240km it's a bit of a stretch. Maybe after a lottery win so that I can donate to your channel and drop it off in person - haha
woooo CTC's CTM! I flew that plane 2 months after this video was posted...

Landing on the Dymond was a little scary Would love a video of that too, if it hasn't had the landing gear broken by then lol

texfanusa 5 months ago in playlist More videos from xjet
@texfanusa We've got 850m of sealed runway plus grass run-offs at each end giving 1100m all together.
xjet 5 months ago
@xjet Cool... That works out to just about what I was guessing, especially after seeing the inflight video... Thanks!

3:18 What's that sound? Is it the tyres screeching?
CutthroatBill 5 months ago
@CutthroatBill
The tyres are stationary as the aircraft touches down. The little screech is the tyres spinning up as they go from stationary to 85mph

Sweet ride! Looks like it's a good STOL. Lot of control surface and forgiving. Great vid.
