  • A fan! Cornell has THE most awesome voice in the entire world

NOBODY CAN EVEN DREAM TO SING LIKE HIM!

so to you fucking people who keep on saying that he can`t sing like he used to please EAT SHIT AND DIE!

I have seen him 2 months ago here in Brasil( yes i am from brasil, i am not a monkey and i listen to music) and it was definetly the most awesome moment of my life.

So you people ( if someone that doesn`t like chris can even be called a pearson) try to sing like him.... Well you can`t.

  • The grain of this video gives it a much more 90's vibe.

  • awesome song but the video looks like it was shot with an x-ray machine

  • Now THAT... is the sound of Chris Cornell when he was at his best. It's hard to find a live video recording of Chris when his vocals were completely in check, but you can definitely tell he was at the top of his game in this video. Very rare. Great upload, even if the visual quality was poor.

  • If i had a penny for every pixel in this video... I'd have a penny.

  • chris cornell is a straight up fucking beast

  • Yesterday I was talking about how the 90's had the best music. The 80's hair was ok, but just listen to this. Fuck the nestles!!! This is where its at!!!

  • 1992. I Love you

  • Matt Cameron on Daves kit?! Well if only Mat had Daves snare sound these days....................if only.

  • first: there are no words in order to express how thankful I am for that. You uploaded something really meaningful.

second: this performance and this music really show the caracter, the deept, the profoundness, the tallent and the genius of Chris Cornell, the humbliness, the voice and the intelligence of Eddie and the strength of Pearl Jam. Long life to theese great musicians and thanx again for sharing.

  • ahh i wanna be there right now

  • Classic performance. Thanks a lot for uploading.

  • take me back to when shit was rad i was ten ten years old and the world seemed so big....

  • Had a chance to see Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, and Nirvana in 1992 at the Salem Armory for FREE. Didn't go and I will not tell you the reason. Missed the boat, story of my life. I was also in my early 20's at the time and hated the 80's hair band conveyor belt of shit. Hair bands made a joke out of what it really means to make music for the ages. Thank GOD for early grunge, alternative, and Hip hop!

  • Chris is incredible.

  • two giants!

  • I remember hearing this song and realizing good music still had a chance! This era really produced some fine stuff. Live performances were life-changing.

  • cameras back then were shit lmao

  • fucking awesome, thanks for uploading this one!

  • Looks like this was shot with the first camera phone ever..but thanks so much for the priceless clip!

  • Thank God there are people with enough good sense to video tape this kind of thing! Thank you!

  • The fucking best!!!

  • How could 16 people not like this??? JC!

    More power PJ and Chis!

  • Cornells voice litterly sent chill bumps up my spine! There is no other human on this earth that has as good of a voice as he does! Love him!

  • i always loved pearl jam and sound garden, fucking rock on 4 ever!

  • A song from a dead junkie poet .... work up not down.

  • Temple of the dog is a wonderful band I first heard hungerstrike on the radio and I thought it was going to be these two wonderful singers tearing up a rock and roll album but i got the album and all i heard was cornell except for this song i think they should have given eddie alot more songs the way they did him is fucked up

  • @Ajbadboy252

fucked up?? eddie was a nobody at the time....Pearl Jam wasn;t even formed yet....this was basically his intro to the rock world, though it didn;t become a hit until after PJ became popular...get ur facts straight..

  • 90's Grunge. God Bless.

  • Damn, this rocks balls!

  • Why did i have to be born in 93. Look what i was missin. It saddens me to turn on the radio and hear to the bullshit our generation listens to.

  • @LiLScHmitty2281 you aren't missing anything if you swtich off the radio and listen to the music that you like. It's annoying how the younger people are always complaining about how sucky todya's music is..well I'm sure the adults in the 90s are also complaining how shitty their music is. There's always a choice you know! I was too young during the grunge period too but I just change stations if I hear a song I dislike!

  • Pearl jam and Soundgarden. best bands ever

  • Eddie Vedder was the man who made this band AMAZING

  • @CheckOutMyToys

eddie vedder lent vocals to this song and ONLY this song on the enttire album.....most of the songs were written by Chris(music and lyrics) and all of them were sung by him(masterfully, his best vocal work ever)....eddie had literally nothing to do w/ this band/album except for this song....I suggest u check out the album, this is one of the weaker songs on it in all honesty

  • @MFBueno63 I actually do own this album, and this song and all night thing and pushin forward back are the best on the album.

  • @CheckOutMyToys

then why would u say eddie made this band amazing when his only contribution to the album was his co-vocals on this song??

  • @MFBueno63 Well look at the date, I have changed obviously, I was kinda ignorant about music at that time, but thank you for the concern.

  • chris might be in his fortys but he still sings good.

  • Why is Chris so good?

  • is it true that cameron helped with pj's demos before kruzen took over?

  • @d15er Yea, the demos that were sent to Eddie in San Diego had Matt Cameron drumming on it cuz they didnt have a drummer yet. Kinda funny how now he's drumming with them

  • @TTGBMR His name is actually Marlon Pankhurst

  • wow!the best singers in the world together fucking bliss!

  • love this 2..grunge is real cool music

  • this looks like a bunch of pictures taken on gameboy camera put into a video

  • How about a Temple of the Dog Reunion tour boys? c'mon Chris, Eddie, Jeff and Stone. do it for your real fans.!!!!!!

  • that would be kick ass, but don't forget, if you haven't heard SOUNDGARDEN is reforming and it'll be sweet

  • This has to be Vedder's best song he has ever sang. ANd some of the best of cornel

  • i have a bootleg track of this. awesome

  • there a way i can somehow get that from you??

  • yea, totally man. i mite be able to email it but if you know any other ways i can thatd be cool. i can't remeber where exactly i got it, but i got it digitaly. There's one second where it like cuts out, but its still awesome. just lemme know

  • Thank you for this video!

  • Timbaland ;3

  • bad video, but great song. To be there would have been truly great

  • the video is so bad it looks like an old simpsons episode

  • lol...."oh yeah were gonna an MTV song instead" right be4 the song starts lol

  • What an era of music back then. Wow. I was 22 and hated every beer and lifestyle hair band that was out there. I heard Rusty Cage and the next day bought Ten, Badmotorfinger and Mother Love Bone. I don't know what was in Seattle's water back then but THANK YOU

  • @lickknob11

Your last sentence is really funny, but true. ;)

  • @lickknob11 dude it was the water, the food, the herb and most of all THE SOUL...fuck Iwas a part of it..i miss it soooomuch RIP ANDREW.SHANNON.LAYNE AND THE SOUL OF GRUNGE....................

  • @jeanbean43 who's shannon?

  • @lickknob11 I am so jealous of you had I grown up in your time I would have seen so much better music!

  • @lickknob11 i know for real man i love all those bands that came out of seattle. and i live in WA. good fuckin music.

  • @lickknob11 WHAT?!?! YOU DIDNT BUY SUPERUNKNOWN?

  • @mlbmlsnfl Superunknown didn't come out for another 2 years. But I bought that too and met Kim Thayil before their show in Rochester NY on the Superunknown tour. It was the same night as Game 7 of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals, Rangers vs Canucks. We were looking for someone that worked at the arena that knew the area around the venue because we needed a bar to watch as much of the game before they went on stage. We ran into him and security next to the buses.

  • @lickknob11 June 14, 1994. My birthday. Great day, great year, great game! Pearl Jam rocks! Let's go Rangers!

  • @lickknob11 Yeah I always related all the glossy pop/rap/emo stuff of today to the hair bands, but luckily I found this, and bought the cds and now I wish this would happen now to knock off all the fake shallow gloss of today. Yeah I always wondered what was in the water up there to make all of those bands so great. I want some. This was about half a year after I was born, so just know that you are lucky. I'd give to have a great scene like this bail us out of the stale music of today.

  • This is amazing to watch after all of these years. If it wasn't enough to watch them do this for the only time on the tour, off in the distance, you could see a TON of people jump the fence and make a run for the ampitheater. Unreal.

  • this song gave me chills live

  • shame they didn't make better video cameras in 1992.....OH WAIT...THEY DID! TOO BAD YOU DIDN'T INVEST IN ONE!

  • In definition, you are stupid,I said Eddie does a great job!

    But ,fan boys ruin everything!

    True fans remain original!

  • They only did one album and few performances (it was a tribute to Andy Wood of Mother Love Bone). Part of ToTD was already in Soundgarden, and some of the others formed Pearl Jam.

  • Thanks,it was a strange coincidence that after I saw this live,ToTD - Hunger Strike video was aired on MTV!

And plus I saw only good comments about it! Even on AIC and Pearljam videos!

  • Thank you so much!!!

    I was there!!!!!!

And it's crazy to see this video!!!!

  • Moments to die for

  • more like Grohl instead of cobain dude....

but any combination like of of my hometown grunge bands would be amazing man

  • se ve muy mal, pero esas dos voces son inconfundibles,me encanto.

  • RIP Andy Wood

  • amazing talent

  • wow to be there must have been amazing. the gods of grunge

  • No one said "Not for you" even once in that video...

  • cobain and cornell do not fit

  • fuckin good ol college days!

  • thanks for posting the video. this was before digital camcorders but it sounds great. thank you soooo much

  • going hungeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh OMG

  • Goddamn, Cornell was a fuckin beast. This takes a hearty dump on the 2003 version i just watched...but you rly can't blame the guy, he's been blastin his vocal chords for decades.

  • @WillFlex4Food Cornell's voice has recently bounced back a lot after he quit smoking. I agree it won't be as good as when he was in his early 20's but better now than in 2003.

  • @mkline718 Chris' voice is definitly back...Quitting smoking helped him a lot...Can't wait to see Soundgarden at lollapalooza.

  • @mkline718 Smoking really won't harm your vocal chords, just your breathing.

  • @WillFlex4Food Should watch the one from last year, it's as good as this one.

  • @WillFlex4Food My friends dad grew up thinking Led Zeppelin were the greatest band, and Plant was the greatest singer that ever existed, I showed him Ultramega Ok, Temple of The Dog, Badmotorfinger, and Superunknown, and he realized who is the stronger singer. Since his reunion with Soundgarden he shows how much he can still hit his old notes.

  • @WillFlex4Food

    was ?

  • he nails it at 3:57

  • This was Lollapalooza 2. I went to show in Mass where they started 8 bonfires in the crowd after ripping up the entire fence. Scary Lord of the flies shit!

  • Current Pearl Jam on stage. Minus Cornell of course.

  • good old times!!!

  • amen!

  • bad quality video???

    no kiddin'

  • Damn, I was there. Good old days.

  • You were not there.

  • jealous?

  • the quality of this video is so shitty, i said "Fuck It!!!!!!!!"

  • I have the original cd, what can I say...

  • holy piss 3:35 - 3:29 is what Cornell is all about.

  • I'm pretty sure that this was at the old "Irvine Meadows" now "Verizon Amphitheater", because I remember Eddy saying that they were going to mess up the song because it was the first time playing it in public.

  • Is this at the old Irvine Meadows???

If it was, I was there. Was this at Lollapalooza?

  • Yeah, this was Lollapalooza.

  • man I miss the early 90's!

  • I was only 3 in 92 so I had no idea what the hell was going on.

  • I was only 10 in 92. Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam were the bands that got me liking rock music. All these/those guys are legends. Music today is well............nothing compared to he 90's. We had this, kids today have...........Soulja Boy.

  • We also have this music it still exists on record...

  • I was 18 in 92... I feel so lucky that I was in my "young adulthood" during the 90s... I wouldn't trade 90s pop-culture for any other era...

was a great time to be a youth, can't help but feel a little bad for the kids these days...

    'restless soul, enjoy your youth!'

  • hungerstrike.

  • i meant his quote at the bottom

  • Before Eddie was Eddie...Wow these were better times

  • 2:31 is whats up!

  • this is awesome. thanks for the upload.

  • ahhh the good old sweatshirt tied around the hips hahaha

  • i wasn't even born then

but wow do i wish i was.

  • I love how he calls this a cover song.

  • stop the hate ;( be nice 2 each other

    loeny? check me out! sG

  • i wish i had been musically aware of what was going on at this time in music history

  • damn that was awesome

  • How I wish I could be there!!!

  • Cornell + Vedder + Staley + Cobain + Weiland = 100 % Grunge

    Grunge never dies

    Cornell + Vedder = incredible

  • scott weliand is NOT grunge.

  • yeah weiland is certainly not grunge. Love this song though.

  • you don't have to be grunge to sound grunge or vice versa

  • Scott Weiland doesn't sing in this song.

  • i never said he did. someone else started on about scott weiland

  • i was five

n i think age is irrelevant

our age does not deny us appreciation for great music

its insulting wen older folks pass judgement

on thos who were born into that whole RHCP AIC PEARL JAM era type shit

knowing damn well that a few years previous they were wearing their moms make up screaming "were not gonna take it" or cherry pie sum shit a bit irrelevant

did u guys get the point?

    if not its aight bros

  • erm what the hell are you on about? I am one year older than you so dunno why u replied to my msg.

  • Why do you guys even use the term grunge. It's such a garbage way of defining bands. STP, AIC, Nirvana, Pearl Jam whoever, fuck trying to label them. They all have distinct sounds which all kick ass

  • Right on brother!

  • Chris and Eddie together are god

  • oooh and i was born 3 months later...:P fuck i lost this...:P

  • its almost better cuz you cant see the faces, just knowing its them side by side and hearing the sound of their voices is seriously unsurpassed by anything ive ever heard, truly vocal magic

  • Totally agree! You don't have to rely on your faith that it's them. Just listen to it, NO one other in this world could play this song like them. Vedder and Cornell just fueled themselves. Their voices just blows people away.

  • Looks like nintendo or something haha...

    Either way its good...

  • I believe this was the Charleston, WVA show at Lollapalooza. I was there.

  • this was the year i was born

    god i love the 90s

  • Very cool to see this performed so close to the original recording. Chris' jab at MTV was pretty funny.

This is an amazing song. Not sure I'm in love with the performance, but it is so amazing to see it. The video tape footage is funny to me, because it looks like my old high school videso from around the same time.

  • i dont think u do no wat u like

  • :(........

    viejos tiempos

  • Ate me doem os colhoes apos ver este video.

    Porra tou todo arrepiado.

    Brutal!!!!

  • try typing &fmt=18 in the link

  • considering this was taking almost 20 years ago, i'm happy it looks this good. jesus, has it already been that fucking long?

  • Great song.

  • Of all the video's on youtube this has to be one of the worst qualities, visualy..even if you squint it looks like porridge

  • IU WISH I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN TO SEE EITHER ONE OF THESE BANDS LIVE BACK IN THE 90's. SO SORRY THAT I DIDNT!

  • que bueno que gente de Bolivia suba estos videos tan buenos... suerte

  • gracias y suerte! xD

  • To make sure everyone knows, when i said "unreal" i meant as in no one on earth can do that like him, not that it was fake

  • I kept rewinding the end when cornell does the final GOIN HUNGRY because it is so unreal, and i noticed some dude runnin backstage, lol he was runnin from chris's pipes. man chris can sing

  • i like how he called it an "MTV song"

  • To whomever is on the Vedder vs Cornell tirade, I would say when Cornell sells out 20,000 seat arenas in the US, he will be competition.

  • You are borderline retarded if you think eddie vedder is a better vocalist than chris cornell. Just because Pearl Jam is more popular than Soundgarden doesn't prove much. It only shows how ignorant people are when it comes to true talent.

  • I'm not saying vedder sucks, not at all. But I'm just saying that Chris, in my opinion, is a better all around singer counting range and power.

  • I think Chris and Eddie are hugely different. I'd hate to pick between the two, although I personally think Chris is at his best with ToD. Oh and the best vocals I think I've heard live from Vedder were Oceans unplugged. Worth a look.

  • Your right, I mean they are both legends. And yeah I think Cornell was about primed out then. But thanks dude I may give that Vedder thing out

  • listen to him sing love rain oer me now, blew my mind

  • good old days now all you hear is fucking rap music.....

  • Both great vocalists

but Chris Cornell is fuckin up there with robert plant or fucking god he rules YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • to be honest, to say he blows vedder away is a bit of a stretch. But to each his own...

  • to be honest, to say he blows vedder away is a bit of a stretch. But to each his own...

  • Chris' voice at its best here, he blows eddie away to be honest, i would have preferred he did the song solo her his voice was so good back in the day.

  • i didn´t see it. But the music, is the only eternal expretion of my self. Taht kind of music.

  • cornell's voice is undescribable

  • they're fucking amazing!

  • Hey i´m from Cuba and here we have the heart broken for all about this band and that mad season. Here the comunication is very poor and we looking for way for get more live stuff of all around this way of music from the 90.

  • what a gem this clip is!

  • ^_^ truly!! ^_^

  • ummm...I'm thinking that the sound sux0r as well...

  • witch on is eddy vedder?
