this is a crappy machine. my milwaukee extractor can take out any glass in half the time without scrathing the body and if i do accidently scratch the pinchweld, then i could always primer.... it probably took this guy a whole 30 min to take out this windshield. my extractor and cold knife takes only 15 min.
@tinderinc actually, it is the new thing due to the design of the newer cars. TIght pinchewelds with exposed edges with no room for a cold knife. Cutting from the inside with power tools will chew up the outer pinchweld which will void most car makers warranties if you get into the paint. Try telling a Mercedes owner he no longer has a corrosion warranty because you removed his windshield incorrectly. Bet your boss won't be happy buying that vehicle.
@DIRTCONVERT I would agree with that statement but I still dont like the wire idea. Almost any car even with a tight pinch weld you can fit rubber blocks that stop you from scratching the pinch weld with your cold knife... What is primmer for any ways...? Scratch's and to prevent rust. I know your talking about cars with reverse moldings or some of the newest cars without moulding's... most people don't mind if you throw on some reverse or universal moulding when it came factory without it.
