I think they should have ended the episode at that point. They should have had Christina fly off then her say that but I suppose they like to leave on a high not a low.
It is the Master and the Doctor must be somewhere where it is dark, this is a puzzle which makes you think long and hard! I am going to see if I know where it is coming from the darkness. It might be Jenny because we dont know where she is do we?
Well, John Simms was reportedly seen during some of the newer filming shots. The four knocks 'does' work with him, but I don't think he's the one we're being warned of. She said 'it' is returning, followed by 'he will knock'. So the Master, and what else?
Could be! It's very possible that it's the Master. But also, don't forget "Midnight." Whatever was there on the other side knocked four times, too. And the "Midnight" music was played during that part - we sat down and compared. :)
Hrm.... that's entirely possible, but if it were the midnight creature, I wouldn't associate it with Darkness, given it's departure. It was a planet of diamonds, and super-amazing radiation... no, I don't think Darkness fits. It fits with everything else though. So somehow we have the Master and whatever we saw on Midnight?
Ye but remember in Midinight, Mrs Sylvestry said 'It has waited so long, in the darkness' [meaning the force ouside]. Maybe she meant 'this' thing. Russel T Davies said that he has had David's final story planned out because he knew he would have to do it, so he probably would have put in a few little clues.
I'm thinking it'll have something to do with Journey's End, when he didn't regenerate properly.
I kind of dismissed Midnight, because it had very little continuity in it. If, suddenly however, we see that it was relevant, I'll deff. have to rewatch it.
But do you think they'll make it return? It wasn't one of those aliens that was important in the doctors life, Unline the Daleks. It wont return trust me people. Not to be rude or anything, AnotherMyself
True but the fact we don't actually know what the alien was means it could be something from the Doctor's past. There have been so many references to 'Darkness' and 'Shadows'. In my opinion, I think all of the Doctor's big enemies are returning. The Journey of Impossible Things book is on sale (in the final eps) so perhaps the Master is gathering his enemies to get revenge!?!
The Master will knock four times...
and then it will end

Four knocks, sound familiar to anyone? ;)

Could be! :D It wouldn't be the first time that something outrageous happened like that.
