nah, i used windows movie maker and my webcam with me singing to prerecorded stuff, it made the sound quality not that great. As far as the melodies go i sang a bunch like "do do do do" then picked the ones i liked, and then put lrycis to them. It kinda limits the lyrics but it seems to sound alright

i use propellerhead reason and record. Reason can be kinda complicated but the best way to learn it is to buy the book "reason 4 ignite" i use propellerhead record as an addon to put vocals to my beats. The two work well together. I have a friend who uses fl studio and he makes great beats. Another popular one is cubase. I myself have only used

reason so i cannot compare them for you. Best of luck to you :) post comments if you have any questions
