it's awesome. Believe me. What the iPad can do are the best, and your laptop or smart phone cannot beat it. If u really need to do heavy work, grab your laptop, otherwise this device is totally awesome :)!

the problem with the ipad is that it is just an updated version of the ipod touch, but in large. Sure it has HD quality, but with the iphone update coming soon, iphone will be able to compete with that, except for the bigger screen (and better resolution and yes its a little faster) , which doesn't even respond better than the iphone, there really isn't all that much a difference in the use of it. Portable? seen the size? no, and at least with the Iphone you can call and text.

i dont think you understand the difference between the level of screen estate of a 3.5" screen and a 9.7" one , i wonder whats your computer screen size . why wont everybody have 13" screens?? some things are better on a larger display

The applications on the ipad are way more powerful because its almost twice as fast as the iphone

Nice to see a review, but you really need to set up another channel for ipad reviews, or at the very least mix them up a bit more here. It's obvious you are in love with your new toy, but you need to take care of your core subscribers.

how can you compare the ipad to the iphone or touch? THERE TWO DIFFERENT TYPES OF ELECTRONICS. yeah i've got something i can read my emails on with a big screen on the go. its called a laptop. But you dont compare a laptop to a phone with windows mobile. Wheres the appeal? its mobile? you'll have to buy a case/bag for it to carry it around safely just like a laptop. Its touchscreen? if you want to pay the money for it then fair enough. Good advertising if you ask me.

@MastaEddo yeah, musclenerd jailbroke it. It has not been released yet though. He only has root access, Cydia it's in development I think. I want an iPad, but it's expensive..I'll stick with my iPhone for now.

It's great looking but I would have a hard time getting over the lack of webcam built in. Every cheap ass net book has one and that is a major hardware oversight on Apple's part. This would be a perfect device for running skype chats so it's lack of inclusion boggles my mind. I suppose we have to wait for iPad 2.0 to get more features.

I am really looking forward to seeing how the music apps turn out on the iPad. Some really cool things can be done with the large screen !

Its gonna suck if all the cool iphone/ipod touch appstore game companies such as ea, gameloft n all those ditch the iphone/ipod touch to make games "exclusivley" for ipad i mean its just an ipod touch on steroids

I'm still on the fence. It looks so awesome right now, and I could definitely see myself using it for school... but then there's the side of it where I'm thinking: "Well, what if this slickness is just a novelty, and it'll wear off as soon as I spend three hours with it".

It's that worry that is making me hold off, and probably just wait for the next model to come around, as I'm sure that will be a force to be reckoned with.

@MasterChief3624 That sounds like a deal a carrier ( Like AT&T) would give you if you choose to renew your contract. The Ipad seem to have a different way to deal with these contracts though so I doubt the same offers will be available.

That beings said, if you buy an Ipad now you won't have any trouble selling it off (Unless it's badly damaged) when the new version comes out.
