such a fresh bread. i love fresh bread anyway; with BBQ sauce, with my love NUTELLA, with tomate sauce, with cheese, with anything it can't be bad if it's fresh and white. there is no possibility for that.
You just got a new subscriber. You saved my summer. This is the first summer that I tried making my own sauce and I ended up screwing the batch by doing something wrong. Thanks.
greatest video of the dozen ive watched! i was wondering.....i noticed that ketchup is the main base for bbq sauce, and i saw a video where tomatoes were cooked down with onions and puut through a seive....would that work for any bbq sauce?
I make my own sauces too, and USUALLY, I don't like to accept that someone makes sauces as good as me, BUT, now I have to admit that one of my new sauces is actually a recipe I got from a friend.. Ha.. Thanks, man.. I really like this sauce, and I use it UN sparingly. I actually added a bit more molasses, just to say I didn't copy you entirely, and this is so awesome on ribs. They caramelize very nicely, and the flavor is outrageous. Great video, thanks.. How about a marinade for rib eye??
Great looking sauce! I make my own no-cook BBQ sauce (for amateurs) that could be a base sauce for the extrasi that you add. Slightly sweet and a hint of smoke. Hope you'll take a look. Thanks for a great video!
your video reciepes are very inspirative, do you have any idea to grill marrow bones?? in our country it is a very cheap and commonas well delicious ingredient... greeting from ostrava, czech republic
nice sauce but you should all type in youtube ANDREW'S WELL KNOWN BARBECUES, listen to the song and try to understand the story.... OMG! We are all meat!!
This is a great sauce!!! I forgot the cinamon and didn't have mace or cumin but it still turned out great. To make a more Carolina style sauce would you add more vinegar? Howabout some liquid smoke in here as well?
I don't cook often, but I'm wondering how I can get that charred almost burnt look and feel from a pit to whatever meat I'm bbq-ing. We have about half year winters here so I mostly cook it in the oven. Any tips on how I can get that same pit char in the oven? Thanks, and a video would be appreciated also. Thanks again for any tip.
That looks fantastic! Better then the store bought w/o preservatives, msg, and other mystery chemicals starting with an E in front of an number! Homemade is always best... thanks!
Being raised in the south, eastern NC bbq style sauce is what I've always made. Just stayed away from anything that had ketchup in the recipe. However this looked so good I gave it a try. It's a wonderful restaurant-style dipping bbq sauce as well, and a recipe that I come back to time and again. thanks for sharing it!
Is this a new Canadian comedy? This is like "Kids in the Hall" does bbq. I lived in the US for the last 10 years and got schooled on what REAL bbq sauce is. This is embarrassing.
@claytoons LOL there is no "Real" barbecue sauce, it is down to whatever flavour combinations you like best. For instance in the US alone there are at least 20 regional varieties of BBQ sauces and Glazes. Funnily enough I am thinking about doing some BBQ chicken tomorrow evening and, even though I am a fairly accomplished chef, am always looking for interesting tweaks, so if you wouldn't mind posting your BBQ sauce recipe and I will give it a try. i liked the recipe. too much sugar though. i like to add honey and if you want to make thinner add a nice lager to it. budweiser works well. or add stock.
Made this last night, wonderful sauce. I added a full cup of brown sugar instead of 1/2. I found the cinnamon to be a little over powering, but, this sauce was delicious on the grilled chicken. A+
@hmgthao34 You cant get a sauce that tastes like this from the grocery store! Yes, it is sweet, but not overbearing. Remember, to cut sweet, we add heat!
Hey, I live in sweden, where molasses are somewhat hard to get by, at least for cooking purposes. Cheap, almost unetible versions used for animals (i'm not sure what it's used for but about 40 litres costs roughly 35 dollars). Anyways, can the molasses be replaced by syrup or something similar?
@mrmacko Try dark brown sugar instead of molasses. A good variation of this sauce is: Leave out the cinnamon, leave out the mace, use apple cider vinegar, add double dark mushroom soy sauce, add finely ground habanero pepper.
You can also add a couple of shots of whiskey to the mix, or add a cup of grape juice concentrate, or add pineapple juice or coconut milk, depending on your mood.

im looking to make a sauce with a bit more kick. im a huge fan of southwest heat like chiles and such, any spices you feel i can substitue to get my desired heat?
He should of put a table spoon of veg oil in then heated it and add 1 medium onion finely chopped then cooked for 10mins low until soft .Then he should of added 1tbs of minced garlic and 1tbs of ginger for another 5 mins then add the other ingredients and then blend it all up with a hand blender it makes that sauce 5x better and very tasteyer!!!!!!
is that your opinion based on the fact that you made the sauce, tried it as is, and then found that by adding those other 3 ingredients make it better?? im always looking to make my bbq better. i have used this sauce as is for months and would be willing to try something else
