Once it became public that Axl was a giant douche (probably through the whole Kurt Cobain thing), then his entire band left, then he started acting like he was better than everybody causing nobody to want to play a venue withing a 10 mile radius of him it was pretty much over. So in the end, Axl is a prick with a slightly memorable voice who ruined one of the greatest rock bands in history.
