  • Sorry John, I meant to put an ampersand between Long Island & New York ... You Brooklyn guys are so possessive! Geez! :-)

  • Love the sneaky bit of Led Zeppelin's Heartbreaker riff at 3:12!

  • Awesome! Not the easiest stuff to sing and play smultaneously. I just love those green Canopuses :)

  • Funny, the English guy from Abbey Road studios, who live in California now, gets a bunch of local guys from Long Island, New York to play his music live. And play it well they do.

  • @VikingVintage HEY: I'm from Brooklyn, NOT Long Island. Watch it. ;-)

  • Fabulous

  • One person has no taste! I always loved Edgar Allan Poe, so the Tales of Mystery and Imagination album is one of my all time favorites. Love Allan Parsons' other work as well.

  • awesome

  • An amazing song, had forgotten he did this one, and it sounds so beautiful & different from his other more pop sounding stuff. I actually ended up here from a mashup where a rap artist had this in the background of his rapping. The female backup singers sounded like a heavenly choir, had to follow this to the original, took a bit of searching to find to. Awesome & worth it.

  • WOW!!!!

  • that drummer rocks with his voice!!!!!

  • Excellent Excellent Excellent...

  • That drummer is the bomb.

  • Whoa ! the sound is awesome ! superbe !

  • freak'n awesome

  • late 70's,...goin to college,...4 of us go out for lunch,...we get into this tiny honda civic,..had just met the driver,...we pull away, he sparks this big fat joint, we smoke it, and then, he slides this cassette into his tape deck, and cranks the volume,...that was the first time i heard breakdown,...couple of hours later, i was buying the lp,...i still have it../ for the ones like me who were lucky to have experienced all the great music from the 70's, you know what i mean...great music

  • amazing song!!

  • drummers name ?

  • AMAZING sound - thanks for uploading!!!

  • its another level

  • There's a little homage to Led Zeppelin...

  • fantastic performance, thanks!!!

  • awesome!! peace2u! eric

  • Incredible....Alan Parsons Group sinply amazing!!

  • What is wrong with the guitar players sound. He sounds like S&%$.

  • A great band, amazing musicians!

  • When music was real!!

  • You youtube rips me off by spreading a false belief that I can click and hear music, at my leasure, but I wait and wait your product does not work, but you take payments from the same people who will put you out of business, Good luck.

  • @sjc421 Your a moron!

  • well well

  • The raven ist der größte Hit dieser Band, die ganz phantastisch war! Liebe noch heute jedes Stück!

  • Awesome =D

Where can I download this concert?

  • Wow, he changes bandmembers a lot. I've seen him just a couple of days ago, and it was a different band. I love the soundquality on this - sounds very 'direct'. Thanks!

  • The new band is not nearly as good as a year or two ago!! Very disappointed !!

  • That is rare indeed to a the drummer sing. Amazing musicians of course thanks for putting this up.

  • Unfortunately Steve is no longer with AP Live Project. :( He was an awesome vocalist and drummer. Alan did some re-tooling of the band recently. Haven't seen the new lineup.

  • Excellent stuff!!

  • tense

  • I love these prog rock bands from the past and especially a band today who keep up with the prog rock sound and beyond, MUSE!

  • You can practice and practice your guitar ,sax, piano, french horn, drums, etc and eventually become an accomplished player. But a voice like that, now that's a gift. A great song from a great album. Don't write 'em like this anymore.

  • Amazing music!

Will this band be playing anywhere in 2010 in the US?

    Omaha, NE

  • @Riley1831 Yes. Check alanparsonsmusic(dot)com

  • I know I will get so many negative comments, but I like the live version better.

  • @kathyuk28 Shut the fuck up.

  • @ExposingTheGOP It's Memorial Day, and our Veterans have fought for my freedom of speech. So back at ya! LOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • Even Kidminster Loves This...

  • Just amazing!!!...

    Thank you for posting this!!!

  • Love the songs but "breaking them down" into a medley does them an injustice and cheapens them, especially since they got the whole ball rolling for this guy. This incarnation of the band rocks and they should be entitled to going all the way to "Freedom! Freedom!" What a crowd mover that would be! This band is much better than about 10 years ago.

  • cool

  • I am breakin' down as I'm listening to this rendition; man, I just don't seem to appreciate this latest APP lineups!...

There's not much that remind me of the old Alan Parson's Project...sorry, but this sucks big time!!!

  • Allan Clarke owns this song. Good job doing it but just like McCartney owns Live and Let Die, Allan Clarke owns this.

  • Steve Murphy Is The Man !

  • Where is Godfrey? This guitarist sucks.

  • Dziś, za ok. cztery godziny będę koncercie Alana w warszawie w sali kongresowej. Zapowiada się wielki wieczór!!!

  • is-thay and-bay oks-ray ut-bay ant-cay ell-tay a ood-gay ening-opay oke-jay !!!

  • were is godfrey townsend ??

  • Anybody notice the homage to Jimmy page at 3:05?

  • To play this well in live concert, including Pink Floyd, shows superb musicians.

  • I think the drummer is awesome.

  • Thank you SO MUCH for sharing... the audio was superb as well as the quality. I just love these songs. These guys rock.

  • Wow. Just amazing. Love both songs. Great medley. Dare I ask if the drummer could be the original singer? If Alan Parsons is the singer, why did he only sing the last line? I really missed out. Thank you for posting this video. This is why I love YouTube.

  • Well on the original song..Alan sang with a vocoder first then Leonard Whiting sang next and if you hear real close at the end of the original song it is alan that sings the last line...try earphones and you will notice the change in voices at the end...

  • I thought this song was from Fleetwood Mac. Nice lasers!

  • When I first heard this song in the 70's I also thought Fleetwood Mac (Lindsey Buckingham) were the performers.

  • what movie is playing in the background during breakdown? anybody? thanks

  • There are several movies, I think. One of the images belong to "Sunset Boulevard", with Gloria Swanson and William Holden

  • TONS of them. One that comes to mind is Sunset Boulevard. I'll try to find them for you.

  • ok id appreciate that... thanks

  • Hey grumpy- The Alan Parsons Project was about bringing in guest artists for albums. It might be pretty difficult to bring in Allan Clarke (lead singer for the Hollies) to go on tour with them now, since it's been over 30 years since making the album.

Besides, the man who makes the decisions was standing right there center stage.

Alan Parsons deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, both as a artist AND a technician.

  • @davetl totally agree with you, thy're seems to be little respect to musics history todays artists are to self indulgent but the media is as much to blame we create the monsters kill in general but not all with todays music, creactivity.

Thyres wonderful players after all it's just sad generally speaking where music is today

  • well done. very cool.

  • What guitar is Parsons playing?

  • Excellent...!

This diffucult song is very well performed! Drum player & singer STEVE MURPHY is amazing!

  • @fazil69 I agree, it's very difficult to sing while you're playing drums and a double bass to boot.

  • @fazil69 I agree, it's very difficult to sing while you're playing drums.

  • @fazil69 i know him

  • Awesome .

  • Pj is so freakin ahhmazing I freakin love him!!
