Jews and Gentiles in the early church didn't make a "multi-ethnic" church. The Jews themselves were multi-ethnic though.
It was the fact that Christians from all areas (Ethiopian, Greek, Roman, etc.) and converts from any other religion were accepted that made the early church a multi-ethnic church.
