How does exporting jobs to India, where the same manufacturing processes will take place, then shipping those goods half way around the world to the USA, reduce a carbon foot print?
That would be all the original carbon to manufacture, possibly more because third world manufacturing is always more dirty, plus the oil burned to transport those goods, plus the environmental impact of the additional oil drilling.
